Anyone have a really good twitter strategy?

Hi guys,
I am a newbie in IM . I was wondering about any good twitter strategy for promoting a website. I have a car blog and I find it pretty hard to promote it, as I only have about 5 followers on my twitter account til now.
I seriously thought about buying a gig from fiverr (5$ for 15,000 followers to view my blog).

    I bought Twitter followers before, but after a month most where gone. In my opinion buying Twitter followers is a scam. Try twiends dot com to get new followers.

      I am the first to admit that I have been a failure at social media - until recently - I made an effort to learn as much as I could about 1 service at a time and then focused on that service for at least 30 days. I started with LinkedIn and now have 480 connections - I am now working on Facebook in the same way.

      I would suggest you take a look at www.imreportcard.com (not an affiliate link) and see who they suggest for experts, then learn from them. They have some great products and experts and best of all you can see what other people think about them first!

    A good strategy for twitter is to tweet about current events and things that relate to your niche. Use hashtags and promote your website every 4 or 5 tweets. You can get lots of followers with this technique.
