How do you feel about having a job?

How do you feel about spending 40, if not more, precious hours hours a week from your life to make $25K-$40K a year? Does this motivate you to create passive income online or do you not care about waking up early in the morning, driving to work, reading emails, talking to customers, etc.?

Boy is that a loaded question !!! I decided long ago that I was a TERRIBLE employee !!! Although a "job" serves a valuable purpose, it just wasn't for me. Didn't like anything about it... was always very entrepreneurial. I've been full-time IM since 1997-98 !!!

LOL. I'm very entrepreneurial and creative, but lack of funds makes it hard to create any real businesses. On the other hand, if I could have a job in the industry that I love, I'd be happy. I assume you started doing full-time IM after you saved up some money?

Well... honestly, those were tough times for me financially; married at the time and needed additional income. Had a "techie" older brother who was into computers from the start.

I began earning money quickly... by scraping and blasting out thousands of emails, which we all now know as "spam"... although the term wasn't all that popular back then.

I've grown a lot since then... and was fortunate enough to be in this game since very early on ! I was promoting Clickbank products (and creating them), from their very first year.

My online income halved in September (we're talking about a 3 figure loss here).

If you can't cope with this type of setback, then don't quit your job.

LOL. Well, I wish I had a job. That's the problem. I passionately got my degree and got some experience, but still struggling to find work. Also the problem has to do with salary. People spend so much money on college with hopes of making more than the person working at McDonald's, but for two or three years, until experience is gained, most graduates don't make much at all. This hurts. I've been pretty disciplined and been working the eight hours a day for myself, but still nothing. It's pretty hard to do anything in IM either without great experience or without big funds. Having said that, as I mentioned, if I had a career in the industry I loved, I'd go to work with a smile on my face and work wouldn't feel like a job but more like a career.

You gotta do what you gotta do to support your family. Most people have jobs. I don't. I'm much happier with no job and solid income online, but a person can feel proud of what they accomplish in life, job or no job. Only on these type of forums are "jobs" a dirty word.

Times 2. I loved the Job I had, (before I quit) but that boss was getting on my nerves.

I was a city employee making $7.50 an hour (Maintenance man) for a small town. Every time I mowed the grass he'd want me at one spot, then before I even finished mowing that one spot he'd tell me NO, I want you down there mowing.

He couldn't make up his mind where he wanted me to mow. lol

So I got fed up and quit. And now I'm working for myself (being my own boss) and loving every minute of it.

When I got started online back in 2002 my biggest WHY was that I was not going to be a good employee for the rest of my life.

There was no way that I was going to spend my life taking orders from someone else. I wanted to be my own boss.

I was willing to do what ever it takes online to make it work. After 5 years of struggle online, I finally broke through and started earning a full time income.

I was at a job at that time too and one day the supervisor called me into his office and advised me that they are cutting back on employees. That was the last day I had a job.

Anyone can make money online if they just don't quit.

    Sure you will have setbacks.

    People will laugh at you.

Just keep learning and you will succeed.

Never give up and you are assured success online with your own home business.

This definitely doesn't motivate me. Sadly i don't have much of a choice but the idea of an income being unlimited is everyones dream. Even though there are many risks attached!

You know, the IMersa are like the lions, used to eat meat and drink blood, so what if you gave them vegetables? do you think they will like vegetables?

The vegetables are the same as having a job.

Yes, I agree, most people with a "job" mentality are vegetables.

When I worked in an office, I didn't read emails and talk to customers. I did challenging work that I really loved. I'll never regret the years I spent working for others. I learned a lot and wouldn't be the same without that valuable experience I had. I don't do it now, but I did for many years... and I didn't work for just $25-$40K
