Budget healthy to market all of this and develop online business

Try both ways & see which one performs the best.

You gotta split-test man. TEST TEST TEST!!

Doesn't matter what you or anyone else "thinks" will perform better - its all about the results from actually trying it & seeing for yourself.

Are they physical or digital box sets?

If your quantity is only 13, I would go the ebay/craigslist route.

    or...

You could use them as a limited contest giveaway for lead generation somehow. I'm not sure if a contest like that is regulated or not by law.

If you have a series of products that you are trying to launch, I think you should create one main website. This website should list all of your other products. You can build mini sites for each product. Focus your SEO efforts on the main site first.Good luck.

Would be much easier to start with one main site, with a product on a different internal page. You can always build other sites later when you start making some money. Are the dvd's something you have created or brought the rights to?

Aside from ebay and amazon, you can also sell those sets on wherehouse.com.

If it was me, I'd use www.Createspace.com to get them listed on Amazon. Let them do the manufacturing and just worry about promoting your DVDs.

Also you want a hub site that all your DVDs suggest people go to, so you can easily guide them to your other DVDs and get them on a list.

It's much easier to backlink an Amazon page, and the customers trust Amazon.
