Amazon S3 speed issue.

INTERNET MARKETING

This is my second frustrating experience with amazon S3...
I have a 9.2mb .mp4 video file ( 34 seconds in length ) which is taking about 7-10 seconds to load.. Thats way too much when you want to quickly grab people's attention.. Am i doing something wrong ? is there any setting that im missing ?

It's possible you have the headers at the end of the file which means the file will not start playing until it is fully downloaded.

  I'm not sure how to check it per se. The easiest way is to use a browser like Safari that has the activity window that shows you all the files being downloaded once a page is loaded. Then go to the page and see if the video file downloads fully before it starts playing. If it does then you know the headers are at the end of the video.
  
  Your other option is just assume they are at the end of the video, fix it, then see if the new file plays faster. If so then it was a meta data issue.
