Looking for a way to get started?
I belong the the North Devon Times Network and the owner has been setting up systems to enable anybody to be able to have their own local website under the thendtnetwork brand.
The position now is that it is long past time that invitations were sent out for marketers and local publishers to try it out.
Each site will be hosted and be totally flexible as to appearance and content. Basically a local magazine style approach is anticipated but there are also local jobs, local hotels, local classified ads pages with a video and audio hosting service available so you don't have to use YouTube.
I am trying to rebuild my own site when I have the time available but you can see the work in progress at Costa del Sol
So that interested people can try the system and the training out (I forgot to mention the training, sorry), until July 1st you can have a site set up and operate it. If you like the site and the training, after July 1st there will be a monthly membership fee of $12.95 which pays for hosting, on going support and training and all future updates. (This is easily covered if you introduce three people who would also like to join us.)
