Need a Site Critique...Please...

Hi Warriors!

Twitter seems to be the social phenomenon...

So, I've created a service that helps people with Twitter.

I need honest opinions on my site design and layout since it's done 100% through Photoshop.

Here's the site (it is incomplete at the time...almost done...)

Pavon Dunbar's Custom Twitter Retweet Pages

Your opinions are appreciated...both positive and negative.

Thanks in advance and have a good weekend, guys and gals!

I agree... who in their right mind would give you their twitter password??

I completely understand the concern both you and Mr. Justin has regarding the retweet function.

The site is designed around the Viral Tweet software program. The script asks users to enter their twitter username and password and verifies it against Twitter so that the retweet message would appear in your status list.

I am not asking for a critique of the software. It's built into the website. I'm asking for a critique of the site layout/design, etc.

Some people will retweet it...others will not. I completely understand that.

The purpose of the site is to offer a service whereby I custom design Twitter Retweet Pages and give the client options on what he or she wants on the site...

Many have heard of Viral Tweet and it is successful...others wouldn't use it to save their lives.

Thank you for your responses. I appreciate it because the feedback is helpful.

I like the general layout. I'm not quite sure how the site would work for me.

Thank you for the compliment, Kayaker.

          It is appreciated.

The way the site would work out is like this:

          1. You order service.

          2. I custom design site for you. Your site would include the following:

          index.html file
          index.psd file
          error.html file
          error.psd file
          success.html file
          success.psd file
image folder (psd images will be sliced and stored in this folder making it easier for you to upload to server)
          twitter.php script

You get the .html files to upload to your server.

You get the psd files to make adjustments to the layout if you choose to do so (at your own risk).

The twitter.php script allows a Twitter follower to retweet your site to their followers and those they are following. To compensate for that, you give the person that retweeted your site to their followers a gift (think of it as opting in but it's retweeting).

So when someone clicks on the link in the retweet, they will be taken to your site where you can promote your MLM opportunity, product, service, etc.

The beauty of it is that you have followers on Twitter that also have followers that are not following you because they don't know about you...

but they may have built a relationship with the person they followed who in turn is following you...

Now you have your followers working for you...helping you promote your offer to their followers...and then their followers will retweet it to their followers to get the free gift.

          Soon it becomes viral.

          See how it works now?

I hope this answers your question. Have a good weekend and thank you for your feedback once again. It is appreciated.

I agree with Kayaker, I like the layout, but I am not sure what I would get in return for my Twitter details

PS one more thing, the page would look better if it was centered

      Thanks for the feedback, Kishor.

I know what I need to do...

I need to be more specific in what you are getting, for example, for retweeting the site to your followers.

Saying, "Retweet This And Get A FREE Gift Valued At $497" isn't cutting it...

      Time to make corrections...

Thank you all for your responses thus far...

I like the layout but centered would look better for me too. I would also change the font for the welcome message. At least in my browser the T's look like I's (for example Twitter looks like Iwitter).

It looks suitably humourous and, more importantly, intriguing. I think anybody landing on this page would stay a while to see what it was about.

As already mentioned, you have made a very poor choice of font for the welcome message - I had to go to 400% on my monitor to read it (not every body has 20/20 vision). You might also consider a better font for your name - after all, it does identify you! Hoch deutsch style scripts are notoriously difficult to decipher.

You might not like what I say - but I believe it.
Build it, make money, then build some more
Some old school smarts would help - and here's to Rob Toth for his help. Bloody good stuff, even the freebies!
