Hmm...I would invest $1,000 onto a big scale project site and then flip it for ten folds profit.

It depends on what you want to do (and can do) as far as "hands on" work. Are you looking to do most of the work yourself or use the $$ to outsource everything?

I personally like to build the sites myself, so I would use the $$ to buy packs of articles for content, buy some nice stock photos and put them all together for quite a few starter sites and flip them. You could even outsource the building part if you don't want to do any of the work.

You could create quite a few sites that way and even hold on to half of them to start "promoting" them for larger sales down the road while flipping the first half for immediate ROI.

I'd keep most of the $1,000 ... purchase the domains, build the sites, add a lot of features and premium customized theme, get them indexed and sell them for $300-$400 each, which is what I do already ... successfully.

I will go to https://auctions.godaddy.com/trpHome.aspx?se=%2B and find a domain that has adequate traffic and age.

Next, I will set up Wordpress site. Then I will buy PLR articles from Quality PLR Articles Only a Click Away!.

Then I will flip the site at site point

Great suggestions. Excellent Thread. Here's my idea: Spend $50 for an overseas graphic artist to develop a "character" logo and brand your site with it. Really make things stand out.

I'd say - invest the money wisely, get good value articles and make 15 or 20 sites. Then link build for them - some will do better than others. You should be able to get an average of $100 for the sites, maybe more, which would leave you with a nice profit.

Buy 100 domains. Then build 100 websites with the 100 domains. And advertise it. At least 50% of them will be get sold. Profit!

You can either create your own site or else buy one that's hidden and left to ruin. Look for plenty of great content, adsense that's about the fold, a site that needs better headlines about what it is etc. And look at its potential. Helps if you can see the big picture. They can sell very well once a bit of traffic and some 'fix ups' eg better graphics, navigation, affiliate products, a list etc has been implimented. A $1000 would get you something good, but you'll need to dig deep.
