Best way to re-invest my first income?

Hey guys,

I just received my first round of subscription payments from my new membership coaching program. No landslide, about $150. I want to invest it all back into the product and drive more traffic to it but I'm not sure which is the best option to spend it on.

Just as a quick reminder, the product is a 6 month vocal training program I'm running via a 6 month membership. BUT! I give a way a free 5 lesson mini-course for joining my mailing list. I do promote and encourage upgrading to the paid course at the end of the free course, so I think promoting the free course is the best way to get people into the paid course. Your advice here is welcome.

So anyway, what would you guys say is the best place to invest some funds to drive traffic to the list? FB? Adwords? Something else?

Thanks in advance.

Well, what worked to get your first subscribers? I would look at the data and whatever marketing you did to get your first round of subscribers is where I would invest.

Hey Benjamin, I mispoke earlier. I was thinking about my list when I mentioned that I got most of them from blogging. I got about 5 subscribers when I launched the membership site. They came from my mailing list and my followers on my fan page. I have just under 500 on the mailing list. Everyone on the mailing list have been through the mini-course (or currently going through it). I have close to 1100 on the fan page. I did a couple of promoted posts there.

In both of those cases I promoted the sales page directly. I was thinking if I really focus on the mailing list I have a better chance of getting conversions.
You guys have given me some great ideas already. I'll look into those definitely.

      Thanks for the advice!

With 150$ you can`t do so much, i suggest to look around on this forum and search a popular course to learn more.

Thanks guys. Most of my current subscribers have come from organic traffic produced by the blogs. Hence my list is growing pretty slow. I'm still just under 500. I did download a couple of the traffic courses in the private forum though, so I'll dive into those some more. I saw a couple of them mentioning commenting in forums and other blogs, so I thought maybe ppc might be an option before trying that. Not that I'm lazy, just kinda busy with a full time job, rehearsals and lessons. Guess I'll devote a few hours on the off days to it though. Gotta do what you gotta do!

You can try swaping with other members who have smal list.

You could hire someone to write a few good guest blog posts for you and get them published on popular blogs in your niche. Guest blogging can bring you large amounts of traffic and quality backlinks.

I would say Google adwords will be the best option for getting traffic than the Facebook. If I were you,I would spend the money on Google adwords content network targeting the websites and blogs that provide similar information like yours.Besdies this, you also can look for advertising spaces in networks like Buysellads.I hope you will get many sites and blogs there in your niche and buy some ad spaces for a month.

He has a nice fanpage to promote. So FB ppc will give a big benefit than adwords.

I wouldn't invest anything into adsense or PPC if your first getting started else your just throwing money a big hole trust me on that one... expensive $300 lesson learned.

I suggest you find a forum or other people with lists and start an affiliate program using them. It would be alot easier and way cheaper while getting people who already have the work already in place..

If you need more clarification feel free to Pm me and ill answer any question you have.

I would suggest you to invest it for a authority-quality website (if you don't have one of course) I know that $150 is not that much... but your optins and everything will increase HUUUGELY if they see a nice page... and of course some SEO

Also...I would suggest some forum marketing... find a forum your niche and start participating on it... after a few posts you add your signature and you'll start getting leads (that's free)

Otherwise you can make a webinar and close sales there with tons of leads

I would take that $150.00 and go celebrate....

Then do what you did the first time to get that $150.00 but maybe triple the efforts or more....

Heck, if it was not hard to do, make some quick videos on how you promoted the first time and maybe give those videos to an outsourcer to do the work for you, that way your free to do other things....

Oh an enjoy that steak dinner...
