Clarifications On Clickbank

Good day fellow Warriors,

I recently decided to jump into Clickbank product promoting, I have a decent plan and I made my homework and just before starting out I started to have a bit of a doubt...

Now, I read a lot about CB and my doubts are based on what people say about clickbank being full of s**tty products and there are a lot of charge backs and all that kind of stuff. And what confuses me is that I see WSO's around clickbank and them making a lot of money and then I read about how peoples accounts having negative balance on them etc. You see, I live outside of US ( Eastern Europe ) and checks here are a bit of an issue to cash out. And I just recently discovered there's possibility to withdraw money to payoneer, which is very good for me. But before doing all the hard work I would like to know whether I should really tap into CB. I am looking to promote non IM products and CB has a lot of them where as I couldn't find any other network which would be full of non IM products. Any suggestions? By the way, amazon is out of the question in my case as it gets a bit tricky when it comes to payout options.

Thanks for checking out this thread and I look forward to your answers since you probably have lot more experience than I do lol.

There are some truly horrible products in "make money online", "internet marketing" and "forex" niches, it's true. But there are also about 297 other niches represented there.

If you're an intending affiliate, your potential customers won't see the horrible ones. They'll see the sales pages of the products which you recommend to them, and those are on their own vendors' sites, not on ClickBank's sites. (ClickBank hosts the order/payment pages).

There's no reason, in short, for your future customers to be aware of all the crap for which the same retailer happens also to host order/payment pages.

ClickBank is only a retailer. It isn't a manufacturer.

On the contrary: ClickBank's no-questions-asked, 60-day money-back guarantee makes chargebacks extremely rare. Fortunately for all concerned.

Do you mean refunds? There are some of those, yes. But how many you'll get, as an affiliate, depends on how you pre-sell the products you promote, on which products you select in the first place, and on how well-targeted and qualified your traffic is. As affiliates, we're responsible for our own refund rates.

    Refund rates vary hugely.

Affiliates who have higher-than-average refund-rates tend to have higher-than-refund rates on every product they promote, while at the same time other affiliates have far lower-than-average refund rates for those same products.

Sell quality only, pre-sell effectively and honestly to well targeted traffic, and stay away from IM/MMO products, and this need never be a problem for you at all.

You need to cash only your first two. After that you can switch to either direct deposit or wire transfer (depending on where you live: wire transfers are available only for countries to which ClickBank doesn't pay by direct deposit.)

You may well even be able to arrange with ClickBank (as many others have done) to send the first two checks back to them, after your receiving them has effectively verified your address, and have their amounts added to your first direct deposit or wire transfer payment, and thereby not have to cash them at all.

Well, this something you can only decide for yourself, but many of us here are certainly making our full-time livings by doing so. I know this may come across as something of a trite generalisation, but honestly it's "what you make of it".

There are some niches with a refund issue - Forex, IM & MMO.

If you're not in one of those niches and have done the following I'd guess your refund rate would be less than 5% and really even under 1%:

    - provide some value to the user
    - write an honest and detailed review of the product (>1,000 words)
    - point out the positives and negatives of the product
    - answer any and all questions you think they might have about the product

In my experience if you do all of the above and just refer to them the product you'll rarely get refunds.

If you do all of the above and point them to a trial offer of the product you will make sales but still get some refunds (because the person is on the fence - and really taking you seriously when you say "You've got nothing to lose! It's just a $1 to try it out!").

    Good luck!

Thank you guys for your very informative answers!

Quick question: Is it still a requirement to get 2 checks before being able to withdraw money to payoneer? Because sometime ago my only option of withdrawal was check and now I can choose between check and direct deposit. Thanks!

I know nothing about Payoneer (and certainly wasn't aware that it's a payment option at all, with ClickBank? Are you sure about this - is it very recent?).

From ClickBank's perspective the "two checks rule" applies on a "per account basis", once only.

If that account has already complied with the two checks rule, I'm sure they won't ask you to accept another two checks before changing your payment options again.

I guess I'll write CB support about that. Also, here's the blog post about CB and payoneer: Receive your ClickBank payments with Payoneer | The Payoneer Blog

And thanks for advices and information people, I really appreciate it, hope to be the next success story lol.

Ah, I see ... this happened only a few days ago. Thank you.

I knew Payoneer were in negotiations with ClickBank much earlier this year, but at that stage nothing came out of it. Different now, apparently. Thanks for the update!

video marketing and email marketing will work best for CB product. and since you're not going for the IM products, your success rate is really high.

Choose products with high gravity, low refund rate and good sales page.

don't wait any further, go and search for your gold. wish you success in your journey!

The best thing you can do is to find products that have a low refund rate.

It is very much true that work at home clickbank products have a higher then normal refund rates then the rest of the products there.

A lot of people think that once they buy something in that niche, that money will just fly at them from their computer for no work. They figure out that it takes work and they get really scared. The logical thing is to ask for a refund in their view.

I totally recommend that you don't get involved in this niche because of that and the matter that it is very saturated.

Just find a product that you know is good (ask the seller for a review copy) in a niche outside of the make money online / business / internet marketing that delivers what it says it will and refunds will be low.

    Thanks guys for answers!

Although I thought earlier and even tried to promote IM related products ended up in failure. So I decided as I do not have a lot of experience yet, I'll go with non-IM related niches. I'm thinking about weight loss and relationships, even though they're competitive, but there's lot more quality products. And vendors seem to be willing to share info, such as demographics etc. As I mentioned, I have a decent strategy so hopefully everything will be alright.

    Cheers!

Side Note: RockingLastsForever I liked your free WSO, it gives good little strategies on how to promote products, keep it up
