I'm actually looking for "one place" where I can drive traffic to instead of using a website as I don't have the funds right now so my only option is using free methods. I looked at squidoo but like I said they only allow certain topics. I'm going the CPA route.

I like hubpages a WHOLE LOT BETTER than squidoo. Squidoo has dropped in ratings. Here are some things to consider...

Hubpages takes like 1-2 days before your article page is actually indexed and your links are counted. So even though your page is published, it will not be indexed in Google for about 1 day and the links aren't counted until like 2 days.

Plus, they rank higher in the search engines, but I would still bookmark all of my hubpages just to make sure.

I get the need to publish articles and content on various sites, and point those sites at the site you ultimately want to promote.

What is is about Squidoo and Hubpages that make them more attractive for this purpose? It sounds like this could be an interesting business to get involved in, if you're the programming type.

Regarding "regular" old blogging pages, you can do a batch of them at once by using either tarpipe (add dot com) and/or ping (add dot fm) to post to a large number of blogs, microblogs, pic and vid posting sites.

I've used Hubpages as well and found it effective when I was still actively using it. The biggest downside is that if your hub goes down in traffic I believe the links you used become nofollow which is rather lame..I'm not sure if it's still like this though but last time I used it was, and thus I abandoned it as it was a hassle to keep promoting the hubs. I still kept mine though but am not promoting them.

Yea with hubpages you will need to keep the content updated and be a little active on commenting on other hubs. I think your score needs to be 75 or higher for the link to count or to be a dofollow link. I am thinking about putting out an ebook that gives tips on how to increase your traffic and rankings in squidoo and hubpages by doing things other than a back linking campaign utilizing the tags on both. Great for affiliate programs that need a lot of traffic

You can also try Exclusive Article Marketing Community.

Most people refer to it as an article directory, but really you can do anything you want on your "article" page.

Well, rather than saying Squidoo only allows certain topics is sort of backwards. I would say that they disallow certain topics. Most of the things they disallow I wouldn't be interested in promoting anyway. They allow affiliate links, but they don't allow affiliate links to other affiliate programs. You'd have to watch your CPA stuff. For example, if someone threw up a lens talking about CPA programs, and the only link was to a CPA network where someone could sign up as an affilaite--Squidoo would block that when they found it.

I mean, 99.99% of the niches out there will work find in Squidoo.
