Help With Optin Page

Hi,

You can always test things, and you should, but I'll advise/suggest some changes.

1. At the very beginning, the background is all black and stays that way for some time. After the background video/slideshow begins, it's very distracting. There were some shots that almost gave me vertigo because they were moving up while I was trying to read.

2. I recommend going with one background and not have a video playing as the background. You can test, but I'll bet people won't care for it.

3. The headline seems a bit hypey with the use of "Now!" Also, I recommend removing the word, Attention... with the two !! thingys.

4. Your bullet points have too many ! - exclamation points.

5. Check your page in different resolutions. Even with 1025 x whatever it is, there's still something cut off at the bottom. Not everyone uses a large resolution.

6. Your bullet points could use some adjustment. You have words that are not needed. Make them very tight with no wasted words.

Ex: Bullet #3. "A well oiled machine runs best." < Contributes nothing to a bullet. I suggest editing it out.

7. The blue WP graphic on the right looks nice.

8. You may want to test the optin fields with only asking for the email address. I think you'll get more subscribers with only the one field for email address.

9. The main headline will not grab people much. They'll wonder what WP Genius is and some may click away. Give them the main benefit up front. They can create websites for free. But, they can easily find thousands of free websites with a simple search.

So, that's not quite an eyeball hooker. Also, you mention something about free WP software and Genius twice in the overall headline. That's wasted space you could use for stronger copy. You really only need to mention it once in the headline area.

10. You're using a word in the headline that is generally avoided by copywriters, especially in the headline. "Learn" < creates a feeling or impression of doing "work." That's something people tend to not want to do. So I would remove 'learn' and use something else.

Discover how fast and easy ... blah blah...

I agree with the above. And always test. But for the love of all things holy and right in the universe, get rid of the music, or at very least give me the option of cutting it off with out having to mute myself. I really don't get why people make it so hard for a buyer to buy. People have preferences on how they buy. Heck some people don't buy or opt-in because they don't like the color scheme of the page (they might not even know this), but why would you possibly alienate people from opting in when maybe they don't like that kind of music. Let's just say .5% of your traffic doesn't care for that kind of music. Are you willing to throw out that money because YOU like the music. This just my two cents. But I find it remarkable that people who are trying to make money online don't think about these things. Sure, you can't please everyone all the time, nor should you try, but having an opt-in page that has music with scrolling background, and I'm telling you, you're leaving money (list) on table, and in some case driving them off. Now, don't get me wrong, I love all kinds of music, but if land on a page and it starts playing music, even i like, then 99% of time I jump off.

Remove the background video and is cool!

Here's my review:

1- It takes a little bit more than the average page to load.
2- The font is very small.
3- Adding a sample of the product (the websites in your case) will increase the optin rate.

The headline needs, more excitement and benefit IMO...also, your optin box should be above the fold.....

thank you all for the help, myself don't like the look of it, just trying the plugin for wordpress someone give me and I agree, very busy background and bullets with wording not very good, going back to try something different, but tanks again to you all........
