What can I do with a site called he cheated on me .com?

I have owned this site for 2 years and have not made a dime with it yet. Can someone please give me the valuable information and advice that I desperately need. I'm new to Internet marketing. I just want to make money to buy a used car to get around in. I live in Los Angeles and have all my life. I'm often told I'm a very nice person with a good heart I just want to be financially comfortable. Please someone guide me in the right direction..

Perhaps an ebook on how to get over an ex and find a new lover? - either write one yourself or become an affiliate of a successful one.

Or even a white page dating website?

Whatever you choose - I think dating is going to be the way to go here...

this kind of reminds me of the my ex gf websites, but I don't know if this would work the other way. Probably it's best to sell some kind of ebook

    • Thank you all for the advice. Is the design ok-does it need another design?
Would anyone buy any products from it with the look it has now?

        Honestly?

        No.

You're design looks like a standard out of the box free theme that's not really relevant to your page - and I can't even determine what you're trying to sell.

Try get a theme (free if you're low on budget) but edit it to make it unique and about your niche - then re-work the page to make it clear what you're trying to sell or if it's just a blog - split the articles up and get some adverts in there.

EDIT: Thinking about it - I would scrap the dating website idea and just go for the ebook sales page - make a mini-site out of it, at least, that's what I'd do.

Welcome, and good luck. That's certainly a modest enough and achievable enough aim.

It looks like a very brandable domain-name: you could perhaps try to brand it as a resource for one (or more, perhaps, in the longer term?) of the following groups of traffic demographics ...
        • women wanting to "get their ex back" (there are many niche products available, and I understand they sell pretty well)
        • women whose relationship is "on the rocks" and might be interested in reading/learning more about that
        • women potentially interested in counselling services
        • dating/introduction services of various kinds (maybe partly for "CPA"?)
        • lead-generation for divorce lawyers (can be lucrative, I understand)
        • gay men matching any/some of the above demographics (could be a good and far less competitive niche?)

I've looked for only 30 seconds, but two major faults scream at me ...

        1. It opens, at the top of the landing page, by trying to sell a product

        2. You're not building a list (essential, in my opinion)

I suspect it'll be very difficult to make more than the very occasional, semi-random sale at the moment, even from quite highly targeted traffic. Affiliates build relationships and pre-sell: vendors sell. But your landing page reads a little like a sales page.

Instead of building a big website how about the whole landing page/site consists of a very simple message, short and sweet? The very simplicity and direct message might get you talked about and linked to.

Use Pinterest, Facebook and Twitter to drive traffic. There are so many famous cheaters you can tweet/post about. For example, every time Bill Clinton publishes a new book you could discuss if Hillary did the right thing standing by him (not every cheated-on woman wants to become president ).

This is a topic with so many viewpoints and opinions you could generate a lot of interest by taking a stand like this.

About the design: It looks very much like one of those websites which you reach and have their hosting account expired, if you know what I'm talking about.

And I would also change the colors - blue, gray and white text don't appeal that much for this type of websites. They are cool and sad colors, and if the prospect has just found out she was cheated, this combination of colors wouldn't help rise her spirits. I think warm and lighter colors would work better.

Also, it's not centered, but that's my personal pet peeve.

Since you're a " very nice person with a good heart ", you may not care for this idea...

You could turn the site into a kind of rogue's gallery of cheaters. For a small fee (~$10?), women could submit a 'mug shot' of their cheating other, along with a "how he done me wrong" story.

Give an award for the 'louse of the month' and give the "winner" a prepaid subscription to the dating affiliate site of your choice. Once the prize runs out, it could turn into a recurring income (think gas money).

You could also offer products like the spy program you're pitching on your home page, other gadgets, classic country music CDs, etc.

Sorry, guys. I'm a sucker for a good hearted woman...just ask my wife of 31 years.

You could start a community or forum, and even offer a dating site for men and women who have been cheated on - and then give them the opportunity to get to know each other.
