Is OptimizePress a worthwhile purchase?

Hey everyone!

I am new to the whole IM scene, and am building my first squeeze page for my first campaign. My plan is squeeze page with a free report/subscription -> one time CPA offer (its a free trial offer).

Now I am not too knowledgeable when it comes to website creation. I dabbled in it a little bit when I was younger, however I certainly am no expert. I installed WP on my site through cPanel, and have read many places that OptimizePress is almost a must-have. The problem is that it costs nearly $100. I have the money, but do not want to spend it unless it is warranted ($100 is a lot to me at this point...).

So I guess the question is should I take a leap of faith and go with OptimizePress, or should I slow down and take some time to learn this website creation business first so I can do it all manually?

Thanks!

it's worth the $100 IMO, I bought it, and use it for all my squeeze pages

it's worth the investment. and i think you also have a money back guarantee with it. so if you don't like it or you don't see it suitable for your needs you can get a refund.

so i would go with it if i were you as it's quite good.

    Hope this helps

Optimise Press OR Profits Theme. You'll want either or to create your squeeze/sales page.

I use Profits Theme on EVERY SINGLE sales letter/squeeze page etc

Actually, pages that I've built with WP Lead Rocket (Not affiliate link) seem to almost ALWAYS convert better than the pages I build with OP. We live in a visual world, and users LOVE to look at eye-catching images. With WP Lead Rocket you can easily upload a beautiful full-page background image with a call to action headline and opt-in form. I built THIS PAGE with Lead Rocket in about 5 minutes flat.
Thank you for your input about WP Lead Rocket.

Optimize Press is awesome. I use it all the time and although there is a bit of a learning curve, once you "get it" it's quite easy to use. I've used it on multiple projects. There's also a new product called Aventus ( <- that's not an affiliate link) as well that looks pretty promising. Kinda a visual 'WYSIWYG' alternative to Optimize Press. It's being sold at a 61% discount today here (not affiliate link). That is, $197 today (even higher than you wanted to go I know) , but going up to $497 soon. I probably won't be getting this, since I'm happy enough with Optimize Press and can't afford the price right now, but it looks quite nifty!

Avoid thinking you can set it up like any other wordpress theme. It's got a robust back end and the multitude of short instruction videos are worth watching when setting up your first site.

I love Optimize Press. I only use it for certain lead capture pages so I use it in conjunction with Woo Themes (Woo being my main theme) and it works great.

I use OP and love it, but some of the squeeze page plug ins are very powerful today. Someone mentioned one earlier in the thread. Less seems to be more these days with conversion rates.

    Hi Dholz42,
I just had to leave a comment about Optimizepress. I was just like you quite new to IM, I wanted to build Squeeze pages, Sales pages, OTO pages, Download pages, etc. I didn't really know how until I got introduced to Optimizepress. You are missing out if you don't get OP.

It really is easy to use and the things you can design with it is just amazing I can't think of any other tool you would appreciate more than OP.

    Best wishes...
    John

Yeah I think it's a good investment and I use it. Quite easy to get the hang of and set up decent looking squeeze and sales pages and you can have each page of your site as a different type of page, i.e. squeeze, sales, one time offer, blog, membership page etc using OptimizePress.

I think it really depends on how often you'll use OptimizePress. If you're going to use it often, its a worthwhile investment if you're dabbling in IM and having a large amount of squeezepages/letters. Otherwise, that 60 day guarantee protects you, regardless.

If you have immediate use for it, and don't want to learn how to create similar pages yourself in WordPress for free; then yes, it would be worth buying.

They have claimed to be developing optimize press 2 for a while now. I contacted them a month ago and asked if there would be any upgrade discount for those who have the current version. They told me that there is no plan for discounts for current OP customers.

It is a very good investment!

It converts very well and literally takes a few clicks to get it all set up. Some people make 4-5 figures using this exact program!

Optimizepress is great though you don't need it for your current plan. You're probably better off using a free squeeze page template and spending the $100 on driving traffic. Then re-invest in Optimizepress when you profit.

I would suggest Squeeze Domination if you don't want to throw out $100. I have both Squeeze Domination and OptimizePress and think that Squeeze Domination is probably the better value.

I personally think that putting a one time CPA offer after the visitor subscribes is annoying and will affect your relationship leading to bad first impression, especially if you're new to this niche.

Now I am not too knowledgeable when it comes to website creation. I dabbled in it a little bit when I was younger, however I certainly am no expert. Don't think about it as:"spending" but think about it as an investment.

I use optimizepress, and this is one of the better investments that I made..no money spent here, just invested to improve my business and simplify it.

So I guess the question is should I take a leap of faith and go with OptimizePress, or should I slow down and take some time to learn this website creation business first so I can do it all manually?
If you want to create many good looking squeeze pages, and you should(to split test everything), than I would recommend you to invest in optimizepress.

    Hope this helps,

Yes if you want to build nice sales/squeeze pages.
No if you want to integrate it with your website or blog - it requires a good knowledge of web development to do this.
Also bear in mind if optimize press went under tomorrow you lose everything. There is a registration process each time you use a new domain.
    Otherwise it's a great tool.

Optim Press gets a huge thumbs up for me. Such a versatile platform. And really well designed with marketers in mind. I'm not the worlds greatest WebD. But when I do build a site. 9/10 times its on this platform. I like clean looking templates and it fits the bill perfectly. $100 is not a big investment in the grand scheme of things. Would you spend $100 on your store front? Absolutely!!!
Good luck with your business and website.
    Regards
    Kevin

I just recently purchased Optimize Press, but was a little disappointed. I mean, it works fine I suppose but I really wish I could use it more like a plugin just for my sales pages/squeeze pages and not the entire site. I would rather have a different theme for the blog and even the home page, possibly. It seems quirky to me and I can't get the blog to work on the site at all. I think it's probably worth the money, but not sure I really needed it. For what it's worth, I made my first site using Optimize Press, you can check it out here if you want.

I use Profits Theme personally but would recommend the purchase of any of these, including Optimize Press or Lead Rocket. If you're just getting started then I assume you have a day job and your time is more restricted than your money at this point. $97 seems like a lot to spend on something like this at first but when you realize how much time tools like this can save you it's well worth it. Most good Themes / Plugins will have at least 30 day money back guarantees.

I'm just going through the learning phase with OP but I have to say the training videos are first class and there is a video on just about every aspect you could think of. It is a bit of a steep learning curve I find but with the aid of the training vids I don't think it will take me too long and I can see the benefits are awesome!

I've been using Optimizepress for some time, but to be honest I think getpremise from copyblogger is a better option, plus it includes the membership functionality so you don't need a third party plugin.

Getpremise is built on the genesis platform, (very solid and secure) and will be the platform I use for all my future membership sites. I think this will be the choice of IM'ers in the future.

I've been using the optimizepress theme and for me the options are very much helpful and it could really help you create a squeeze page, sales page, launch funnel and a blog without asking any help from a web designer/developer considering that the site you wanted is as clean and simple as what optimizepress is built for.

if you want to have a visually stunning design that anyone can hardly tell that your site is using the optimizepress theme then you already have to hire a designer/developer for that and make sure that your designer would utilize the optimizepress options so it would not be so hard for you to update your site./theme

Also it is already in the talks that Optimizepress is coming up with a new version so I believe it would be great (or hopefully it will).
