Sharing Some Test Results - Winning!

This isn't a long post as it was a simple test.

I joined 10 Linkedin groups in one of my niches and shared my blog post to those groups.

This resulted in nearly 300 visitors from my target market arriving on my blog within the 24 hour period following the posting. (There was a noticeable delay of four hours before the traffic started flowing)

I got some opt-ins, sales and a few potentially lucrative offers. It was a good result.

I'm now going for one post a day shared through the Linkedin button. It seems a very easy way to build up 300 visitors a day to a blog, which could be useful if you are starting out.

I'll also be looking at making my content more viral, as 300 people a day are a good enough block to start off a viral campaign.

      Well I used some desktop software I had made, but the sharing button does the same thing. I just like doing it my own way.

      What I use gives me a bigger text box to write the preview text in. You can write it in Word and copy/paste it across, though. It is the exact same thing. I do recommend making sure the preview text is interesting, though. That would make a big difference.

      Most of the views have come following other people clicking the Linkedin share button after they read the article. It caused a much wider spread than I intended.

      As for special tricks, no none. I just shared the content and it worked. It's not really anything that clever. It is just a simple plan that works.

    I've never even thought of LinkedIn as such targeted niche exposure.

      Not a lot happened for 4 hours, then it started to pick up speed. Other people will then share it again back onto the groups, and then it goes for approval yet again, and then more traffic.

      It's best to count it as traffic over a day, due to the wait times.

      All the action happens in the groups. You won't get anything worthwhile out of just posting on your profile. It's all about the groups.

      If you get properly involved in the groups you can get some excellent traffic, too. I just wanted to try the lazy way to see if it still worked.

      I got thanked by two of the group owners for my posts, and considering it was supposed to be a hit and run traffic strategy that can't be bad.

      I don't know if it can be put on autopilot and I've got no idea if it will work long-term. That will require more testing.
