how to build a simple platform website

Guys:

How can we build a simple platform website in a narrow niche as broad niches requires lot of investment, any niche ideas? Example, something like youtube, docstock, fiverr, etc. Actually it wont be a forum per se but something where people can read content, upload files, communicate with each other, etc. Actually the users will share, create and circulate content for you, something which grows on its own. So, the platform will need to be built initially with some coding right? How do we go about this? The main thing is I feel ti advertising the platform and get people coming into the platform and engage, right?

    Hi Macmani, if I comprehended in a right way what you were asking, I built many communities some years ago on Ning.

    Until a few years ago you could use a free profile to build up your social network, or pay for an advanced account who permits you to have more things.
    Now you only can count on free 30 days, and then choose the Plus or Pro Plan, who costs $14,95 and $34,95.

    I didn't found other website for creating communities, but certainly there are more different ways to do it, including some good Wordpress plugins.

    How about email marketing? It require a simple page or squeeze page with opt-in box with auto responder.

    I think every good business venture should already start with an audience, a la email marketing or forum marketing.

    One good idea is to actually make it a launch, right here on the WF.
