Any advice on generating income for this site?

I've spent hundreds of dollars on seo on this site from a reuptable warrior on here a few months ago and have only made a few cents back on adsense. I researched plenty of keywords for high traffic that were low comp on GKWT and it seemed like a no brainer. Guess I dont really know what I'm doing.

I was hoping for it to be good supplemental income with great content to help women. Now that times are hard for my family I either need to make it work or get rid of it. Open to any advice suggestions. Thanks guys!

Your website looks good. Are you getting lots of traffic at the moment?

Your website does look good. As RockingLastsForever stated, are you getting enough traffic? If you aren't getting a large number of visitors, that is one reason why you aren't yet making much money. Another thing, adsense won't really pay you much at all unless you have TONS of traffic. It's not really the amount of visitors that matters in that case, but the amount of visitors who click your adsense ads.

Are you also trying to get visitors to your online store? Perhaps if you could make the online store link more prominent on your site, as it sorta blends in with your website navigation and doesn't really stand out as it could. I think that could eventually help you increase your results and sales.

You want to "yell" to your visitors that they can purchase their pregnancy needs from your online store.

GKWT has been notoriously well known for delivering search volume numbers that are over-inflated. Have not been keeping tabs on this, so I don't know if they've addressed this issue.

Great content. There are different ways to determine great content.

But getting to the point, I took several sentences from one of your articles and did a Google search with quotes.

It returned just under 1500 returns with exact text as your article. So that means it's PLR or scraped, or whatever.

If it's PLR, then sorry to hear you spent 100s for "SEO." ... no further comment about that.

Your content needs to be unique, at least, if you have a shred of hope for ranking.

Very sorry to hear about hard times for you/family. Very honestly, this won't work for you unless you make the content unique, to start. And adsense will not help until you get serious traffic, and it still may not help. This can be made to work but it will take time.

Not being sarcastic, at all, but don't put anymore money into this. You may be able to sell it, but people will find out that you have PLR. And any offers will be low.

Also, you have too much advertisement, in my opinion, in the right hand column. But this is of minor concern considering the larger one about the content.

Were those keywords 'buying' terms? In other words, did you build the site around things your market wants/needs to buy, or around trying to get traffic and hoping that they click/buy while they are there?

When I look at the site, I see lots of content, but don't see any sort of action that would lead me to buy.

You need to pick a strategy, and be able to answer: What are you selling, to whom, and why will they buy? If you are looking to get ad clicks on traffic, the volume needs to be very high in order for that revenue to add up, and to do that you need unique content drivers.

    Hope this helps!

SEO will get you traffic; but it doesn't guarantee sales or clicks unfortunately.

Also, adsense isn't the only game in town. You can try other alternative monetization methods such as banners ads or selling text links.

You need to learn first as this term "SEO" is simple and again it's too critical. The wagon wheel is just needed to get on the line and then it can go. Try in secret society of money.

      SURE?

Do you think it is an advise you're giving here or do you market the hell out of it?

While you generally get what you pay for, on the other side, you also don't get quality services just because it's expensive. Sure, the service is usually better from the people that charge more but as you're seeing now it's not always the case. Perhaps the person who did the SEO for you had absolutely no clue what they were doing and saw you coming or just made a mistake.

Then again, $300 in a market like yours really isn't a lot, because real SEO on competitive markets and competition can cost thousands of dollars starting out due to the pure amount of work and man hours it would take to dominate those markets. I haven't researched the pregnancy market but I don't imagine it's an easy market to dominate which makes me wonder how much you really got for $300 and if that's nearly enough to dominate that market.

The site really doesn't look too bad but I would focus more on getting high quality backlinks and targeting the right keywords to increase your rankings in some of the smaller words. I honestly don't know which keywords you targeted or what keywords you're trying to go for but perhaps you spent $300 in a word you had business fighting for with a small budget or perhaps you picked SEO on a keyword that gets absolutely no searches and you're dominating a useless keyword.

I don't know who the person you bought SEO services from or what they did (they might have done a good job for what you ordered) but it sounds like you hired someone inexperienced. What keyword were you going for?

Holy mother of Headers... why? All those H3 and he failed to include a single H1 tag.

Sorry about your luck there, it looks like you were taken by a novice.

      YEPP!

      unfortunately it's true

BUT: it's possible to get rid of this failure if somebody will make a few changes in the WordPress template. The loss will not be that much then. Looks like the OP is using an anti SEO- trrrremplate
