I'm trying to figure out the best way to utilize ClickBank.

Should I have different accounts for different niches?

Can ClickBank separate my earnings by vendor/niche?

I want to be able to track which products/niches are working the best for me so I can decide if I need to tweak or ditch them but if I have multiple pages of all the different products/niches jumbled together under one account that will be difficult.

I know that a lot of people have multiple ClickBank accounts and I'm wondering if this is the reason they do that.

Any insight and advice will be appreciated. "Focus on one thing" isn't really an option, and doesn't have to be with what I'm doing.

Thanks!!

The person settng things up is considered the supplier(which I guess YOU would call the vendor).

As I recall, a given item COULD be under different categories in the marketplace, but I think they must be the MAIN product in the account. If that is still the case, that means that 10 placements would mean 10 accounts.

The best way to track success is YOURSELF on your OWN SITE! Clickbank makes that easy. Even the http logging on your host will work. Check out hits to your sales page to determine prospect views. That is the BEST way to validate it, PERIOD!!!!!!! Check out hits to your download page to determine client download attempts. The BEST way to do it, outside of some download procedure on YOUR system that is account driven.

Google, for example, may show a higher number. They NEVER made it to your site. It may also show a lower number. They slipped up and missed things.

    Hi Prosper!

Yeah I would look at mastering one niche at a time my friend.

That is unless you have an army of great people working to build your sales funnels, creating websites, generating traffic etc etc.

Don't stretch yourself too thin and focus on one niche first, find a product that converts well with what you offer as a FREE gift to build your list (If You Are Building A List) and then let the system work for you nicely in the background whilst you get on with building traffic.

Hope this helps you clarify what you need to be doing and have a fantastic day my friend.

Adversity will come to every person at some time. How you meet it, what you make of it, what you allow it to take from you and give to you, is determined by your mental habits.

You can, if you want to, but it's not immediately apparent how that would help.

All the information you'll need to see is available, anyway.

Yes, each sale is itemized, and you can use "tracking ID's" on your affiliate links to see from which traffic-source the customer arrived, as well, if you want.

Why will it be difficult? It's absolutely fundamental and essential to be able to track where the sales comes from, for exactly the reasons you mention.

Vendors, yes, perhaps. But you're asking as a potential affiliate, I think?

All this information, and the details of how to use/interpret it, are available on ClickBank's own website.

    1. Read all the relevant information on their site slowly and carefully
    2. Set out with a clear understanding of the essentials
    3. Good luck!

      Thanks everyone!!

I think Alexa & Chris answered my questions.

What I was thinking is that if:
Site A sells product 1 for seller John
Site B sells product 2 for seller Amy
Site C sells product 3 for seller Bob

and it's all being sold under my CB account "moneylvr" then when I look at my sales page it will all be jumbled together and I would have to hand pick through the spreadsheet to see how many 1s, 2s, & 3s I have sold.

But if there is a way for CB to sort them out for me then I won't worry about having multiple CB accounts.

I am getting banners and my affiliate links from the seller's page, not through CB's "promote" link that gives you the option to put in a TID. Does that change the plan of attack for tracking the products I am selling??

      Thanks again for the help!!

ClickBank's Analytics reports will allow you to sort by seller (vendor), product , tracking id and give totals of hops, sales etc.

You just need one account, multiple accounts will be a disadvantage as they all need to meet the Customer Distribution Requirement and the dormancy rule.

You need to check if the seller's affiliate program allows a tracking-id. Add /?tid=tracking-id to your affiliate link, click through to the order form and you should see at the bottom [affiliate=yournickname.tracking-id]

I agree with all those who say stick to one niche.
Get acquainted with one market. Open a Facebook page for that niche. Build credibility in that area.

If your this new than read everything on clickbank. Look through all the different categories and sub niches. Think about how you want to monetize the traffic. Do not just pick something because of an emotional pull. Look at it cold and calculating. Many resources available. Do not rush yourself and then quite.
