Is The Main Internet Marketing Discussion Forum Better Than The WSO Section?

Is the main internet marketing forum section better than the WSO section? I recently started hanging around this section of the forum, and it has kept me away from the WSO section which I used to visit every single day.

Why is this good for me? Well it has suppressed my "shiny things syndrome" and has me more focused than ever.

What do you guys think, is this section better than the the WSO section?

Better in what way? Both forums are completely different with very different objectives.

I think they are too different to make any meaningful comparisons.

As far the main discussion forum supressing your new-shiny-objective-syndrome, that's a good thing.

Though it begs the question, what are you doing with the stuff you have now (in terms of implementation).

Well I am always looking for the "next big thing" like everybody else, so I end up buying a ton of stuff I never had time to use. Sometimes I will have too many projects going at once, but since I found this section of the forum, I have not checked the wso section, and have been more focused.

I have been testing like crazy with PPC for the past week. Had i dipped into the WSO section for a peek, I would have gotten side tracked for sure

That's good. Definitely stay away from the WSO forum until you get the foundation to your business built. And since you're a War Room member, you can definitely benefit from this:

I'm not sure you can say one is "better" than the other, in my opinion they both have there benefits for sure. I defiantly get a lot from the wso section If I'm looking for a certain something to assist me in my business and usually find what I want.

Main forum always provides me with interesting angles to my marketing and have defiantly had some ah ha moments that helped me out huge! But to really stay focused and working on my business I have to stay away from all forums! Before I realise it hours have passed browsing threads! On that note back to work

I go to the WSO forum when there is something specific I'm looking for - otherwise it's the main discussion forum and the War Room. Thanks for that link Rod - it is a gem!

I think you can get distracted by lots of things. Social networking, gaming, WSOs, email . . . it depends upon your own particular personality. We all have to guard against what takes us away from our main purpose.

Spot on Gailtrahd, There are so much stuff going on in the WSO section that is capable of getting someone distracted and out of purpose. If some of us can take a break from the WSO's and implement what we've bought already, the success would be immeasurable. The IM section helps me to focus a lot. Am lovin it!

The WSO is not a good place for someone new in IM I don't think. There is just too many things to steer you away from your business model. Wait until your business gets off the ground and doing really good before you go there.
