Opt-in Form On My WordPress Blog

I am learning all I can about installing WordPress Blog .

Now, I am stuck. I wanted to install GetResponse Free HTML opt-in form at the 2nd sidebar of my blog. I am doing this through Text Widget.

Unfortunately, if I save and view it on the blog page, the opt-in form forces the 2nd sidebar down, rendering the blog "out of tune."

Please what is wrong with my installation and how can I correct it.

Thank you.

There's nothing wrong with your installation. The opt-in is simply too wide and pushes the sidebar down because there's not enough space. Make the opt-in smaller and it will work.

You need to set the display size of the code (text and boxes) to a smaller size, if you can't do it in the generated code then it can be done using styles,

The simplest way could be to use your html editor, create a table with a specific pixel width, drop the auto responder code in the table, then use the whole table code in your text box.

Do check the code looks right in a browser first. You may need to tweek the font size for it to look good.

    Hope this helps.

That's what I did. I set up a site for my father-in-law and not knowing a whole lot - but having more time than money - I played around and finally got it through taking the table code from my html editor. Worked great with Wordpress and Getresponse.com.

You could edit the size of your opt-in form. By trying put the code first to frontpage or dreamweaver. Then, You could resize it. Hope this help.
