christmas-related sites - is it too late for this season? (semi squidoo related)

i have several "christmas gifts for xxx" pages with amazon affiliate links and right now putting them up on squidoo.

several questions:

- after putting up a page like this on squidoo, how long does it take after putting them up and doing proper promotion before they gain some popularity? am i too late for this christmas?

- if it is too late, should i put them up anyway, because through the year i'd great results for people looking for "gifts for xxx" even if the real title of my page is "christmas gifts for xxx"? do keywords and all that work like subsets like i just suggested?

    I dont think its too late. It takes a few days for squidoo to show you the "rank" they give each lens. I'd do some seo for these pages and see what happens. Why not give it a try?

    The time is now, my friend. Another 2 weeks and you'll be loosing shoppers. Now they're searching for presents. In 2 weeks' time they'll have selected what they want to buy.

      With squidoo, you can be on first page in hours for the right keywords.

      I have been doing some keyword research (see the first link in my signature, it goes to a WF post... no tricks), and apparently some pro is hitting yahoo blogs for this. You might use them as well.

      mmm I should have captured, it might have changed by now... but for the keyword I chose to start, the open properties on first page were two yahoo blogs and a weebly site.

    Find season related products and do some quick hit promotions. Doesn't have to be fancy. Give them what they want!
