My Visitors Just Dropped !!

So I have been doing good since I started. I had about 15-225 visitors a day and finally making $1.00 a day by adsense.

I put my app on google play. Then I bought a SSL cert. (Ex - having the "http://" in the url)

Ever since i got that, my visitors dropped and dropped hard. So after a week of dropping I called the company to take the SSL cert off and out so my visitors would go back up. I didn't think that could of been the problem but that was the only thing that i have been doing differently.

2 days have gone passed without the SSL cert and I STILL only do about 40 visitors a day!!

Please help. Does anybody know why this happened and what I can do?

Why would the SSL cert be the culprit?
Are you sure you didnt tweak anything else?

Just a guess here, but it could be that your site was indexed using "http:"; but when you got the certificate your pages then became "https:"... your "http:" pages then returned a "404" error and threw both your visitors and the web bots off. Again, just a guess. But either way, do a check of your Traffic Logs as they should give you a more complete picture of what's happening.

I don't think it's because of https, since https is always good for search engine and visitors, since it increases the trust rank.

    You said you have
    I had about 15-225 visitors a day
, and after getting https, it becomes 40, so what's wrong in that, it is search engine dear, this kind if fluctuation is acceptable.

Plan some search engine optimization strategy and started to work on them, your traffic will definitely start growing, you have to have patience, since in search engine optimization it takes time to build a stable traffic, don't worry.

I doubt that the SSL implementation on your site is the problem. How have you been generating your traffic? Why did you get the SSL in the first place? Credibility? Trust? ... doesn't increase conversions as much as you think it will.... especially if you're just going to lead them to Paypal or any payment processor.... who already has SSL implemented on their payment pages.

If you're traffic source is from search engines, have you checked your rankings for the keywords you're targeting?

sorry, I ment 150-250 visitors a day. It has been like that for the last 2 months. I have not been at 40 visitors since my second month.

I get 90% of my traffic from search engine.
Yes, that is the only thing I have changed. I only changed it to look more trustworthy to visitors.

maybe the SSL or the https keeps some bots / spammers out of site ?

i don't know.... I didn't think that the SSL would make my site plummet.

Sounds odd to me, but if you really think its the https vs http you might want to check your server configuration. Any old http should redirect.

You might also compare date ranges in Google Analytics - this could give you some clues as well.

yea, thats what i did, and that is the only thing I can think of. It started dropping the day the SSL cert was put in.
