How to get OTO purchaser onto a buyer's list?

So traffic goes through my squeeze page. After they opt-in they're redirected to the OTO page. If they buy my product at the OTO, how do I add this person to a buyer's list?

Anyone? Do I have to have them 'register' the product as in do another name and email opt-in?

After they purchase, you can direct them to a page that says something like

"Enter your email to send a backup copy to your inbox" or something along the lines of that ... whatever you want it to say

But by doing that, that optin can put them onto a buyers list.

      In a nutshell:

Opt in ==> OTO ==> Purchase ==> Opt in again (buyers list)

you need to use the "automation" feature or at least this is what it`s called in aweber

by using that feature you can unsubscribe people from 1 list as soon as they subscribe to another

so when they get added to your buyers list take them off your prospects list

you can either send them to an opt in page and tell them if they want more updates opt in, which is your buyers list

or if you`re using something like warrior plus or digi results etc your buyers will automatically get added to your list upon their purchase

Ya depends on the payment gateway youre using but seems like you already got the right advice.

    A) have them opt-in to get a "secure download" of your product
    B) using W+ or jvzoo will automatically transfer buyers onto your email list

There is 3 ways to do it.

The first is just use either jvzoo or wsopro and just have them automatically added. You can do this in the settings by adding a autoresponder list.

The second is that you could use something like DAP, wishlist, or another membership software and have them Register for the product . You then add your AR info to the plugin/software so that they are added when they register.

The third is when the buy send them to optin box, and say either sign up so we can send you updates or so we can send you a copy to your email. You can set it so that are unsubscribed from 1 list and added to another.

    Hi,

Yes. Send a buyer to a registration page to get the OTO download.

You can dress up the text of the page, however you want, but essentially that is what you would need to do.

    Regards,
    Azu.

You can link PayPal purchasers to Aweber, I think there will be help on doing this in Awebers help section, but the easy way is just to send them to a buyers optin page when they have checked out saying they need to register to receive updates or activate their licence, something along them lines.

Oh, so the first list is a freebie list and the next is a buyer's list. But, the thing I'm wanting to know is after they join the list and buy the OTO, why build another list as a buyer since they bought already?

Well when I launched my first product I just created to separate listing in wsopro and created two different list. One for the front end buyers and the other for those who paid for both. Although it all ties together I was able to track things better that way. When they made their purchase they were added to the list they bought the item from. It may seem like more work but it's easier for me that way. I could have imported them from one to the next but that would have taken more time for me honestly.
