astores. Could they work?

I think amazon astores have potential. I'm using them as stand alone sites and promoting a few different stores, no success yet. Has anyone done anything like this before and if so, any pointers?

I don't have personal experience with Astores, but I think the concensus among most successful Amazon affiliates is that they're crap. People are generally looking to get opinions about products, and when you throw up a mass of different items, your visitors don't have any idea what's worth their time and what's junk. They want you to sort things out for them, and Astores just make a mess of it.

I'm not saying there's "no way" they can work, just that I think you could monetize far more efficiently with a review site or by simply integrating Amazon links into blog posts. Here's a link to a forum where a guy says he gets 200 views and no sales... then finally gets an Amazon commission from one product review he wrote: Amazon astore conversion rates

    I like those odds more.
