Video on review pages of affiliate site. Recommended?

Hi,

I have been working on an affiliate site that is based on the investing niche. Instead of pouring money and testing it out, I decided to ask instead to save some money.

Would video on review pages of my affiliate site make the conversions better? And also, would those videos be on autoplay to be better?

    That depends on the video you plan to use. If they are of good quality and not too long, they will most likely help your site convert better. I would have the first video on autoplay, but the following videos should not be on auto since this might take the focus away from other important information on your site.

      The true answer would be: you'll have to split test. Have a page with a video testimonial and the same page with text only run against each other and see which one does better.

      Also, for the investing niche, keep your target demographic in mind. You might not get away with an amateur-looking video you shot in your underpants. Just saying...

    I do a lot of video reviews for clients selling clickbank and amazon so they can post it on their squeezes. It works wonders IF you control your feedback on the video. Getting your product promoted on different channels then combining their results in your squeeze is a huge pro.

    I think a combination of a video and some good copy about the product would work well.

      I agree. I think generally a video brings life to a page but in the niche you are in it will need to be informative and helpful and definitely not hard sell.
