Need some help for where to start

Hello everyone!

Its been a few years since I started dabbling in the internet marketing industry and given my current financial situation, it seems to be a great opportunity for me to get back in. I am currently unemployed due to mental health issues and I am desperate. I have some experience with marketing using squidoo but with limited success. I was hoping to get some advise from you all as to where I should start. I currently have little need to make a great deal of money (1k a month would be amazing) but the sooner I can get income rolling in the better.

Any advise for where I should focus for gaining that amount of income per month? I don't have any startup cash unfortunately but I do have a website that I can use as well. The quicker the startup the better as I am really desperate for getting cash rolling in to pay off all of my bills that are calling...

Thanks everyone and I look forward to your responses!

Since you are already familiar with Squidoo that is a great place to start. I would recommend becoming an Amazon affiliate and using their tools to see what is really selling right now -then create a squidoo lens and market it on all the social media you can. With the holidays approaching it is possible to make some quick cash if you can get people to your site.

If you have any kind of list built you could create an amazon shop with items that might be of interest to your list and send them an email with the link.

Another option I just ran across isn't really internet marketing but there is a company that does fundraising sweepstakes around sports events like the super bowl, final four etc. You sell and get to keep %50 I think. If you google fundraiser sweepstakes and football you will find them. They send you weekly payments according to whatever you have sold. Again not internet marketing, but could get you some fast cash.

I hope you found this helpful - good luck.

My advice is always the same for people who ask "where to start" with internet marketing.
The first thing you need is a plan.
You mentioned you have a website, that's great, but what good is having a website with no plan on how to monetize it?
I'll tell you what. Send me a PM and I'll help you figure things out. No Charge At All.
This will be my good deed for the day.

The best thing would be you took up some part time home-based jobs/contracts (there are dozens of good websites to start from) and simultaneously kept working on your IM plan. When desperate, pick up a job that pays on a daily basis.
    Good Luck!

Any examples that I can go check out?

I'm not sure if this is something you are interested in but quality content for all of the websites and blogs out there these days are highly sought after. If you don't mind writing, there are many people out there looking for good sources of original content across various topics. Places like freelancer.com or elance.com can be good places to start offering different services.

I know many people who started out doing this and since then have ended up in joint ventures because of their consistent work and running into the right people while doing so. I hope this helps!

There are so many ways and methods to make money
online. In fact that's the problem.

When I first started online I used to jump from one business
plan to another. I ended up knowing a little about everything.

I wasted a lot of time and money...

Finally I realized that I have to stick to only one business plan until
    I mastered it.

So my advice to you is first go and learn about all the ways and
methods and see which one is the best for you. Once you find
the thing you really love, whether it's blogging, affiliate marketing,
or selling a service..etc , stick to it and learn everything about it
and be so good at it. I'm sure you'll see success..

I wish you all the best

I second Sam and TownMarketing's advice. When you are doing something you enjoy the hours don't seem so long and it is enjoyable. That's important - because if you don't like what you're doing it won't be long before you are distracted by the next shiny object.

Everyone seems to be talking about making easy money online. We all get sick of it but in reality that is the reason we are all drown to the internet. The fact of the matter is that easy money really can be made online. The hard part is creating a system that converts well. Once you have a system in place and you know what your conversions are then the rest is pretty simple.

So my advice would be rather than trying to spend the time, effort and money in to creating your own system... follow someone who has already done the heavy lifting. Remember you don't have to spend hardly any money. The best of luck to you!
