Posting pictures on an affiliate site

This is my first ever attempt at Internet Marketing. I've started a website using Weebly and am starting to create content. I assume it's okay for me to rewrite the copy from the product's main website. I've also generated my affiliate link and downloaded the banner ads package that they have on their site for affiliates. I assume I can use these banners/pictures on my site.
Does this seem correct?

    Definitely.

In fact many (most) vendors create pictures and banners so that you can use them to directly link to their product.

They wouldn't have them if you couldn't use them

This thinking has been known to land affiliates with big problems, hello.

Definitely not, without permission. (It may well be granted, of course, in the circumstances).

No. If this isn't specified (e.g. on their affiliate page, or in their TOS), you certainly need permission, in spite of being an affiliate and motivated by promoting their product(s).

If you don't own the copyright to text/images you use, you need the copyright owner's permission. Period.
