Consistency in Marketing

When it comes to marketing, consistency is just as important as whatever you are trying to promote. If you are not consistent in your promotional efforts, whether they be Facebook postings, frequent Tweets, email marketing, or whatever, if you are not consistent then you will also not have a consistent traffic flow to your links or websites. One week you could have an average of 150 unique visits to your websites because you were consistent in promoting your website...then the next week you may have 40 unique visits for being inconsistent. To be consistent is to do something on a regular basis. For example, making a new blog post and publishing one new blog post everyday is an example of being consistent. So to be straight forward, if you want to advance in online marketing or promoting a business or website, then you need to promote whatever that is on a regular basis.

One technique that is very effective in keeping track in your consistency is then 'Calender-Cross-Out' method. All you will need is a calendar. In this method, all you have to do is make an 'X' or put a star on the day you promoted something with consistency. So let's say that you went through your entire marketing schedule/plan and completed it. Then, you would be able to put that 'X' on that same day on your calender. This method is more or a mental trick than anything. By seeing so many marks or stars on the days that you have completed, your brain will be fooled into wanting more shiny stars, thus you becoming more consistent with your marketing.

There is no consistency without a marketing plan. If you don't have a marketing plan, then MAKE ONE! IT IS AN INTERNET MARKETING MUST!!! A marketing plan is something that you can follow day by day, that will guide you in your marketing or promotional efforts. They can get a simple as a piece of scrap paper, to Microsoft Word Documents, to filling entire flash drives. They can contain anything from a marketing schedule for different websites, to detailed instructions on how to advertise during specific times or dates. Really anything that would help you with your marketing should be placed in your marketing plan and followed on a daily basis.
