Getting Free Traffic Onto Squeeze?

If you couldn't use ads to get people onto your squeeze page, how exactly would you do it?

Let's say you have 10,000 visitors on your blog each month.

How do I get a maximum percentage of these visitors onto my squeeze page? Is it just directing them there in your blog posts? Obviously there will be opt-ins on my blog sidebar and lightbox and whatnot, but how do I get this organic traffic onto the squeeze itself?

    I have seen a light box pop up capture as the most effective solution for this. When people hit your site you can easily capture 33% of them or higher if you have a valuable gift that is relevant for them. You would have the lightbox pop up and it will serve as a squeeze page. Obviously your copy on your form and the gift will determine your conversion rate. Its not hard to get a third of the people to get a valuable gift if you word it right.

      Okay so by doing that, you're still on the blog page/home page. The question is, if they decline the lightbox because it's just a plain old opt-in and some people see this as annoying, what things can I do to get them off the blog and onto the squeeze?

    Another method is to do a call to action in your blog post at the end as a PS line also throughout your post. Have your opt in box obviously on your blog. Pop up box will be the highest converting. When I used to do that I was getting 33% or better of the traffic opting in.

      But yeah, I was thinking just hyperlinks and stuff like that. :/

      No I like to get 50% converting rates so I use squeeze pages. Here is an example: David Wood's MLM Marketing Prosperity Blog

        So his lightbox converts at 50% or that's for the actual squeeze? And can you do a lightbox/squeeze combo like on this example blog with Aweber easily?
