heya warriors,

I just got my kindle book to the top of the pile for it's search term inside a week.

I just used a couple of techniques to make it happen.

I thought it was going to hard but it wasn't... so if you're thinking of publishing ---go for it.

cheers

Peter

    • no worries

      Here's the bones of it.

I used the search term I was going after on Amazon in my title.

when I wrote my description...I put the main keyword at the begining and end of the writing. Lsi keywords in between.

I then contacted all my friends and asked them to buy it for $2.

There are 2/3 more things I still have to put in place.

Thanks for sharing Peter, on page optimsation is definitely one of the most important factors for gaining visibility within amazon's site. In addition gaining momentum through sales/reviews is important as well.

Would you mind sharing your other techniques as well?

    Congratulations :-)

I found that backlinking the kindle page worked a lot for me :-) In fact just treating your kindle page like any other web property is the way forward :-)

Well done, Peter. I have found that the description is very important. Not only does it hopefully get your prospective customer to buy but also it is good for ranking.

I got to position 4 for the a whole genre in 2 days just by backlinking and using some simple on page SEO.

I used 200 high PR backlinks with 5000 quick and easy links supporting them. This type of pyramid isn't so great on websites anymore but still works on Kindle because of Google's trust in the site. To copy this linking strategy just look on Fiverr.

It's dead simple to get to the top on Kindle, though you need to pick niches that contain buyers, and most Kindle niches don't. Niche selection is a whole new ballgame on Kindle.

Very nice! I too am curious as to if you've noticed a difference in sales. To my knowledge there's no Amazon keyword tool so any book keyword choices would be derived from popularity of what's typed into Google.

One thing I did notice, searching from the Kindle Store versus clicking the "Kindle" tab on the books section yielded wildly different results. I wonder which people use most often?
