Hmmm.. Kind of small.. I can not even see the menus in PS etc. . . Did you use Camtasia?

Yes. I used Camtasia. Would it have been better if I had used the zoom-n-pan features?

    Dear Mubarak,

Nice tutorial! It looks like you are well on your way to creating a valuable series. With that said, below are a few suggestions for your requested critique. (I agree with the size critique as stated above.)

    1. Ten minutes seems a little long for the video. Consider breaking it into two parts if that fits in with your business plan.

    2. Do you have a script? It may help with the length of time issue...

    3. Mention why transparant is the better choice. I was taught to use it whenever possible because it will make the file smaller (less pixels - no need for the white to take up room...)

    4. At the end of the video in your closing statement, mention your name, otherwise, great closing statement.

    Peace,

    Roey.

      Some observations:

      1. Your audio is pretty darn good...nice & clear. Well spoken.

      2. Consider using a slide with bullets to cover your agenda in the beginning instead of just talking to a blank PS screen. A Title Clip describing the session might also be good.

      3. Definitely need to use Pan & Zoom! Try the SmartFocus feature in Camtasia to make it easier...

      4. If at all possible, show a finished image at the very beginning i.e "This is what we're going to be creating today". This engages your viewer immediately and draws them in. This is especially useful when demonstrating fairly technical software!

      5. I'd re-think the flow...I found it very boring. Talking about tons of features, or worse, explaining what all menu functions are verbally is a real snooze...try to work them in while showing how they are used to actually work on images.

Nice start and keep up the good work!

Well, about first video i think that...First, the sound's awesome, really clear..
But, think it´s a little long...When i looked at the time i get a little scared. You should separate it in two tutorials or maybe cut those parts where you talk about the menus and where can we put them.

Oh and of course the zoom, but i've already seen that in second video that problem doesn't exist...

About second video, the view is much better and sound is also good..The time looks a little big, but maybe there's less you can do about it...I like it...Seen much worse...Congratulations

    Dear Mubarak,

Your second video tutorial is much more engaging! You balance the tight-close-up details with the overall screen shots nicely. The information is practical and by demonstration from start to finish how to create a specific item using the technique is, in my opinion, quite effective. I'm looking forward to seeing what you do next.

    Peace,

    Roey.

    Good Morning, Mubarak,

Pour a cup of coffee or tea, because I a rather long post for you.

I just recreated your guarantee image with the tutorial and approached it as if I was new to Photoshop. Its really good! However, there are four points I noticed that may be stumbling points to a newbie, and with a quick word or two, can be even better. So, here goes:

    1. When you draw the initial shape, mention not to take it to the edge of the 600x600 square because you will be adding a stroke to it later on in the tutorial.

    2. When you mention to bring up the layer style menu (by double clicking the little image box in the layers pallette) then click to check the gradient overlay (or stroke, color overlay, etc.) that applies the previous settings to the object. After that is checked, you need to click on the name of the blending option to access that panel. You show that, but actually saying you are checking the box and clicking the name (Gradient Overlay, etc.) would be helpful. Maybe say clicking on the name of the blending option brings up the options pallette for each individual blending option, or something like that.

    3. When you bring us to the Gradient Editor, you click on the lower left tab to change the black color but don't mention it is the lower left tab, (black.) You do it for the white one, but not for the black one. Mentioning either "Black" or "lower left tab" might be helpful at that point in the tutorial.

    4. Toward the end of the tutorial when you are working on the inner circle and transform it (Ctrl-T for PC) you say to set the % for width and height and to hit enter. A newbie may get hung up here, because that first enter is actually just setting your new percentages; you need to hit enter a second time to apply those new percentages to your selection.

Well, that's it, and thank you for this comprehensive tutorial.

What is your plan of use for these tutorials?

    Peace,

    Roey.

    Thanks for that info!!

Well, I was thinking, and perhaps I should sell them with plr...

    Who'd be interested in that...

And how many parts should I do?

Should I create an entire minisite in photoshop?

    Thanks,
