Hey warriors,
I got my site and I haven't got even 1 visit when i check Google analytics.
Its a review for an affiliate product, I've submited some articles and published in squidoo and hub pages but nothing.

What do you guys recomend me?? I'm from mexico and making some 300 $ a month would be enough.

Also can I paste my URl here so you guys can check my website and see if its a decent site at least??
Is my first one and i really like it but i need traffic.
Thanks Warriors

it does take time. you need to keep getting articles (fresh ones) up, submitting them where you can, using a social network like FB to expose it, maybe get some videos up...and then linking all that stuff together - article with video, article link in video...

    good luck to you

Are you even ranking for any search terms, or have you just stuck up a review and are expecting traffic? Try doing some keyword research first and target low competition, highly searched keywords. You could also do some social media promotion to get some further traffic. Squidoo and HubPages are great but are not as good as natural search engine traffic.

Just because you created a review site, does not mean that you are going to get traffic.

If you want to make sales from that page that you have created, I would take it and and use some free and paid media to drive traffic instead of waiting for it.

    I would go with:

    Articles.
    Videos on YouTube.
    Forum postings.
    PPC

Those will get you traffic and hopefully some sales too.

Don't ever rely on the search engines for traffic.

      Dont' take it too badly.

People often get into IM for immediate results but this rarely happens.

You will need to stick with it and not give up.

Something you can remember is the cause and effect. You can take a bunch of actions today that don't give immediate rewards. People give up all to soon and don't realise that what they were doing was working, it was just going to take some time that's all.

But keyword research is critical if you're not going to spend money on paid advertising. Market Samurai have the best software I know of by some distance. They have a free trial too so check it out. There are a dozen or so tutorials that show you how the systems works. This is the very best use of your time I think.

      Good luck

      Marcus

The thing is that i bought the work from no home system, and that really got me into SEO, but also I have looked a lot on this forum and most people say not to rely on Google. I got to say that i really preffer a way of not having to be worried if Google looks at my page or not. Thanks

Make sure to find active communities that are likely to be intetested in your offer

Forums, groups, fan pages... Make a genuine contribution to these communities, build relationships, and help people. Link to your site sparingly, and only when it is relevant. Leverage the internal traffic of these communities, and don't waste your time on SEO.

  • You need to advertise to specific groups.. also get help with keywords and monopolizing on SEO traffic or even paying for traffic
Even if you have the greatest product out there, if no one finds you, no deuce

Atleast you're not asking for alot. Cojelo con take it easy, you have to give it time to rank for some keywords. keep plugging away at it, and you should start getting some traffic. If you like to write, maybe you should get into adsense also, since $300/month would be pretty easy to achieve.

Patience is a great virtue in IM. Too many people believe they can put up a website and the visitors will come.

    How old is your site?
Has it been indexed by Google yet?
How many backlinks do you have?

Squidoo and HubPages are a waste of time. Their traffic is almost entirely internal. Meaning the people looking at your pages are the same people putting their own pages up. You almost never see Squidoo or HubPages when searching Google.

Squidoo's US Alexa is #173 and HubPages is #447. Both of these ranks are heavily inflated by their publisher base that uses the Alexa toolbar at a much higher rate than the general public. Each also has a very high Asian traffic base. So what's happening here is that Asian article writers that work for $1 an article are surfing Squidoo and HubPages looking for articles to rewrite.

    Hi,
You can try traffic exchange sites, were you would submit your URL to their site and in exchange for you viewing others members web sites you will earn credits to have members view your web site. hope that helps

And will that produce sales which is the end goal? Probably not.

        I somewhat disagree.

traffic exchange sites can do the trick, if you use them correctly. For a review site though, I think the member mailer is the best way to go. Jumping right to the site won't do much, but if you're able to make the visitor at least mildly interested in the product before the visit, and the product review is truly unbiased you may just land a sale or two from time to time without having to spend ages browsing sites.

Granted, maybe 1 in 1000 emails will create this interest at the very best, but if the endgame is $300/month it should work.

But then again... A lot of work for little gain, so I'd go with ppc.

I've tried about 8 different traffic exchanges before on various sites I own, and I received no sales, just bloated analytics data. I did get a few opt-ins on some squeeze pages but they are no good for a review site IMO. I'm not sure what else I could have done to change that, all you do is enter your URL. If you know one that produces sales send me a PM

Some of them are just viewers that people leave running over night, and most of them are populated by other marketers who aren't going to buy your products. Search engines, PPC and social networks produce the best traffic to get sales from a review site.

    Hi My friend
First of all it's not that easy to get some quality traffic to your website. I think to make like $300 from just 1 affiliate review site is not impossible! But you need a good Stream of targeted traffic to that affiliate offer! But you have to work for it! lol! Especialy when you just start with IM and you don't got the money yet to outsource certain parts of your traffic generation! Like most of us you have to start FREE!
And what that means is that the only price you pay is your Time!:p The more time you invest the more you get out of it! wether it's traffic to your site or even some profits!

So now we're clear that it is "Time" that you'll invest! You should stick with one strategy only wether it is Article marketing, Youtube marketing, Facebook etc...
pick one you like the most yourself! why? because you're gonna put alot of time to it! you wanna master it for yourself! The biggest mistake for myself was that i focused on more then one strategy! you know a few articles here...1 or 2 video here and there..a few blog comments there...and maybe some backlinking also! Well that didn't work for me! it's better to focus on 1 strategy only! This way you get your max results from that one! Plus you get so overwelmed with all the information about all these strategies! too Much lol i totally lost it!

So better stick with one strategy that you like the most! and put your energy in that!
i myself like youtube marketing! cause it's not so hard for a newbie! and you can get some great results with it! Worth trying lol!

Good luck with you'r traffic journey!
    You will get there

    greetings gothilda

Well first of all, don't click some random clown's terrible affiliate link - it WILL not do anything but FREE you of your precious time.

Free traffic isn't instant traffic, and you're paying with the time you spend building up your network of promotion. Take a couple of weeks, write plenty of good reviews, and promote on social media.

If you have some money to spend I think paid advertising is a good way to get some fast traffic. Consider PPC, banner ads, forum advertising, solo ads. Other sources including video marketing and social media work well too.

Getting traffic takes a lot of hard work and something you constantly have to keep working at. You've already been given a lot of really good suggestions - I would follow them and then be patient. If you work at it the traffic will come in time.

If you continue to post orignal, quality content across several mediums on top of your own post, have patience, then you will meet with success. Putting your site is half the battle, the other half is getting traffic, and the other half of that half (I know, the math doesn't make sense) is converting. Be patient, and test, test, test. You will find the sweet spot and start seeing success. Half of the half of 3/4 of people give up, so if you keep at it, you will succeed.

    Be well,
