Hey Peeps

I am looking for top rated sellers on fiverr or any seller for that matter and a tip on how to deal with difficult customers. I had a nigerian business man order $50 banners from me and he kept asking to change this and that which I done and he was still not happy. Kept telling me to do ABC, i done ABC then he said it wasn't what he wanted and wanted DEF which I then completed. he then said I was the incorrect person for the job. Fair enough people are entitled to their opions. Okay so move forward 27 days I went to his site to see what he had designed. SHOCKER!!! HE IS USING my 38 x banners I created!

I don't want to be used again like this. any tips or suggestions to deal with people like this

    for banners, logo, or any images, always put watermark in every of your work, and only remove it after your client pay. and make sure your watermark is hard to remove. it'll useless if you put it on the corner with white background before it.

    didn't u contact that guy and ask him to put down all of your banners because he didn't paid for it ?, he's stealing your work man ..

      If your looking for work done, I highly recommend you go to oDesk before Fiverr. If you are outsourcing work, then Fiverr may be the better choice. I try and stay off Fiverr as much as possible just because the amounts of low quality work or in this case.. stolen work.

        I agree with Windu - put a watermark on all of your work until you get paid.

        You'll see many graphic designers do just that to avoid getting ripped off. In your Fiverr ad, let your customers know that they are permitted to change their order ___ times.

        That will save you time and frustration in the long run.

    There are a number of good suppliers on fiverr, just depends what you are looking for. Not everybody there is garbage

      yeah, do just that, if he did it to you he's doing it to others.
      send them the correspondence along with his url. I'f he's like that then he's no good for them either and he'll get banned.

      And by the way, I advise you to check fiverr's group on Linkedin, dealing exactly with the issues you've raised, how to deal with hard buyers and etc.

    You may simply write in your gig description that you will provide only 1 more version if it doesn't suit the customer. Thats it. And you won't have to do it again and again. Simply let the buyers know before they buy.

    Did you use Fiverr.com for this, and get paid in advance?

    If not, I recommend Fiverr as a platform for that exact reason. And as people have mentioned, watermarks are a great way to protect your drafts. You can also put it on a gradient background.

    On Fiverr you should also make it clear in the gig description and automatic "required to start order" message how many concepts and revisions are included (together with other requirements/limitations such as color/hd/psd etc), and make it easy for them to buy more concept/revisions and other extras.

    Water marks are the best ways to protect ur self.. other than that raise a ticket with fiverr support team about this incident... if you have any conversations .. do ask them to check at it...
    Do mention the number of revisions that u will perform. that will eliminate these challenges and easy to go to customer support for conflict issues.

    This is bad news. You do need to move on though and learn from mistakes.

    Can you use his website as part of your portfolio?

    I would also make things difficult foryour rogue buyer - the threat of your your copyright infringement and international lawyers can work wonders . . Nigeria or not!

    Fiverr launched a forum for sellers and buyers
    I have tried it out but didnt get much traction on my post
    I'd assume thats the same reason you have decided to post your Q on WF..and you have received responses
