Should I hire a writer?

So I am in the process of building a website about aquariums. However since at this point I am working on saving up money so when I start (probably June 2013) I will be able to get everything I need (premium design, aweber ect.).

But anyway... I was checking many of the top sites, and many of them contain a news feed thing of the "latest" news. However, anyway, many of the top blogs are upgraded around 1-3 times/day, while I could only update 1/3days which means they write 6 articles in the time I write one which promotes people visitors daily to there site which makes it less of an advantage for me.

So since I can't keep up with a content, do you think I should hire a content writer to help me write and publish daily articles about the news which can help make things easier.

You don't need to publish 3 articles a day to be better than them, that's nonsense. Keep it at your own pace, but provide solid quality information so people will want to opt in to your newsletter for future content updates.

That way you don't have to rely on search engines as much, as you'll have a constant stream of loyal readers visiting your blog on your command. Then, once your readership has grown, create a facebook fanpage and introduce them to it. Das when da magix happenz

In principle, yes, but you'd be wise to learn a thing or two about SEO as well, just for the sake of sprinkling a few keywords here and there, it makes a big difference in my experience.

Yes stick to your own pace. NO the visitors will not just come. You will need to get much deeper into traffic generation in internet marketing. Its a long journey...

  • Hey cpwebsite, There are a variety of places to get people to write content for you for example you can go to Odesk.com and Iwriter.com. These sites are great because you can get a quality article written for you for about $2.00. You can also check Fiverr.com

    Good luck!

It's rare that you'll see, high quality writer and Fiverr in the same sentence.

As a newcomer to IM - Avoid FIVERR! PLEASE!

I was told once that you don't have your own business as long as your doing the majority of the work, I guess it comes down to having employees that do your work that makes you an owner/ceo of your own business.

Don't know how true it is, but the next stage if you want to increase your bottom line is to always outsource or automate (scale up).

It shouldn't take you that long to save up a little money, don't bother getting a premium design right off the bat, because you have never been an Internet marketer. Most IMers fail at their first website, so don't spend crazy amounts on it.

Also, never tell the niche you are going into....

Make money yourself and THEN outsource it, knowing you will see a profit.

You are already researching the competition. Look at the various sites and take note of what you may be able to do better. Once your site is up and running and ready for customers (visitors) contact some of the other site owners and see if you can run a solo ad to their list. That could be a big boost to jump start your site. Good luck!

You shouldn't hire a writer right a way, you should write by yourself and wait to see how many views you get.

There's news about aquariums every day?

For each of my niche sites, I produce and publish three articles per month. And I'm an article marketer: my articles are my primary traffic-generation method. Really, I can't believe you'll need daily articles. Article marketing isn't about how many articles you have: it's about how many targeted people read them. I take the point that more frequent updates will bring the "hardened enthusiasts" back to the site more regularly, but the "hardened enthusiasts" aren't the ones you need to be worrying about here, I think: they come back and subscribe to your list anyway. It's constantly attracting new people that's the "big issue"?

Write at your own speed for starters later when your blog starts earning good amount than you can start hiring some people or you may even get guest posters for your website so don't worry about it for now if you can write an article a day or even 4-5 articles a week that's fine try to market those articles on social networks as well

Yes, I definitely agree with you. Hire a writer for the content and for marketing (SEO) your website.

Hire a content writer! I did so and I didn't look back.
He's able to generate text for clients website, add more pages to websites, keep a blog updated.

Content defiantly speaks to everyone on all levels and is a good investment

If you hire a writer, don't go the cheap option. You want quality articles and it is better to have less if they are good quality than to churn out crap.

I think 1 blog post per day will suffice. If you can write a good 400-500 word article from scratch, you'll do fine. Hopefully you know alot about aquariums. Knowledge about your niche is very important.
