What's Your Biggest OBSTACLE to IM Success?

I'm curious as to what the biggest obstacle to your success online is.

Are you having trouble:

  1. Creating A Product?
  2. Building a List?
  3. Cultivating a Responsive List?
  4. Picking the Right Project to focus on?
  5. Picking a Plan to follow that you have faith in?
  6. Don't even know what to do next?
-OR- perhaps your business is going AMAZING and you're simply working to grow it.

I'd like to know what your BIGGEST Challenge is right now. Often identifying the answer to this question will help you move forward.

I'll provide input as to how to overcome the obstacle you're dealing with & I'm sure other Warriors will as well

Let's make this an awesome thread!!!

This is a big problem for many people. I also suffer from this as well. I even have a hard time focusing on one task out of several important tasks within the same project.

There seems to be a tug of war between the creative impulse and what should have the higher priority.

Here's how I deal with this problem...

      1. I sit down and prioritize what would give me the BIGGEST benefit if I do it first.
      2. I also prioritize what I feel "inspired" to work on.
      3. I divide my available work time into two blocks (usually two hours each).
      4. I work on the Biggest Benefit for the first two hours
      5. Then I take a short break (eat lunch, take a walk, etc...)
      6. Then I spend 2 hours on the most inspired project at the time (the most FUN one at the moment).
With this little formula I am not only doing what is most important to do first (the Biggest Benefit if I do it first), I'm also satisfying the creative urge of doing what's fun.

It requires a little discipline, but it has helped me deal with the problem of focus. I hope this helps you as well

      Hi,

I have a pretty simple solution to this that works well for me and might work for others.

When I've decided on a project, I know that many ideas will pop up in my head during implementation. What I do is to simply write the ideas down in a notes.txt file that belong to the project, this way I can let the thought go still knowing if I need it in the future it's there.

Works for me and it might work for you :-)

Great solution...thanks for sharing! Yes, it's helpful to release it. It takes mental energy to hold onto ideas because we're afraid of forgetting them. Writing them down relieves this burden and frees the mind

Yeah, it sure does drain energy to keep all things in the head for the exact reasons you mention.

A good and simple bookmarking & "taking notes" system sure helps a lot.

Yes. Here's what I do for bookmarking...it's SOOOOO easy.

I use firefox as my browser. It REMEMBERS all the pages that I've ever visited. All you have to do is type in a few keywords from the page you were on into your browser (where you type the web address) and it will suggest the pages. You can also look in your history. You can browse it by date if you forget the keywords. You can also actually bookmark the page, and organize bookmarks into folders.

This makes finding ANY page you've ever been on pretty easy...

    Hi Brian,

I'm really glad you posted this thread. I'm actually having a problem on how am I going to set price my lead generation service that I posted here:

    http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...ease-help.html

I already have on-going clients, but I don't have fixed price to each of them. Maybe you can share me some thoughts on how am I going to deal with it.

    Looking forward to your thoughts.

I'm happy to help Gary. It may require a few back and forths, but I'll keep responding

The first thing I need is clarity on what you're doing for these people. Before coming up with a defined price, you need to define the service more clearly.

      You are either:
      1. A specific number of leads
      2. Spending a specific amount of time using your system
      3. Creating a specific number of pages/campaigns/etc... for them
      4. Or a combination of all three.
Your pricing depends primarily on these three factors. You can offer a few different packages. Something like this:

      1. Starter Package: 250 leads (or 5 hours of your time, or setting up 10 pages/campaigns/etc...).
      2. Business Package: 500 leads (or 10 hours of your time, or setting up 25 pages/campaigns/etc...).
      3. Domination Package: 1000 leads (or 20 hours of your time, or setting up 50 pages/campaigns/etc...).
The price is based on how many leads you can get them ($1 per lead is a good number to test out), and it's also based on your time. Figure out what you need to make per hour and include that price in the package.

*You can also offer custom quotes in addition to package prices, but it's a good idea to offer packages.

If you give me a more specific description of what EXACTLY the customer will get (in terms of your time, # or leads, and/or # of web pages, or whatever) I will be happy to share my exact thoughts on what I think would be a good pricing strategy.

Perhaps you're having a hard time pricing it because you haven't defined it for the customer as clearly as you could.

I'm glad you said this David. With the people that I've dealt with this seems to be the biggest problem. Even though the Warrior Forum has all kinds of great info, it is an easy place to get sidetracked.

I teach a simple 3 part system to get started with. It uses facebook ads to drive traffic to an optin page to promote a free webinar. The webinar sells an information package. It's simple and that's the method that I teach people to start with right now.

Once you have that system in place you can add other traffic methods into the mix (as well as other back end promotions).

The key is to start simple. I have a webinar replay that teaches you exactly how to do this method. If you follow it without distractions, it will work for you. Let me know if you're interested and I'll give you the link.

Otherwise, you really need to pick ANY simple business plan and stick with it until:
          1. It works for you
          2. -OR- you realize that it really doesn't work (but only after you've seriously tried it)

    • Gary,

I mentioned $1 above, you could also use the price of google adwords to help determine the cost of leads. Here's how you could do that...

A GOOD opt-in page will produce a 40% opt-in rate. Since you're trying to provide a valuable service, use that number.

To get the price per lead, take the price of the top adwords bid and divide it by 0.4. This will give you the value per lead. You can discount this further up to 50% more because not every adwords click is obtained from the highest bid.

Here's an example. Let's say the top adwords bid for the customers niche is $2.00 per click. $2 / 0.40 = $5.00. You could charge between $2.50 and $5.00 for that lead. You could show the customer that it would cost them $5.00 for that lead with adwords (if they had a 40% opt-in rate), so $2.50 is a bargain.

This is of course if you are trying to sell per-lead. If your service doesn't guarantee a specific number of leads, you will need to price it based on how much work you do for them
