How can I advertise a PHP web Script?

What would be the best way to advertise a web script? let's hypothetically believe this is a facebook like script marketed as a "facebook clone" what ways could this be advertised in order to maximize profits? I have advertise my product in clone directories like clonephp.com and scriptcopy.com I have tried Adsense but I end up breaking even.. I had success so far with SEO and Script Directories. Please experts out there I would really appreciate some word of advise.

    I am no expert but maybe you should list the script for sale on ebay, I've done well with scripts there...

      I've done that already, I believe I'm getting about 20% of my business from ebay..

    Why don't you dress it up like an actual product and start email marketing it? Build a blog on viral/social marketing and collect leads. Then promote your product to that list?

      I have, I market it as a clone of a popular website, about the emails, Im not into spamming trough emails..
