That is an awesome video filled with golden nuggets all the way through!

60% is probably being nice on the amount of people who don't take action
on the things they learn and actually implement. Maybe 90%-95%?

Procrastination and not taking MASSIVE ACTION can cost you years of your life!!

Think about that.... years of your life wasted away!

Take a stand and fight "The Resistance."

Great thread Preston. And also appreciate Jerry's wonderful comment ''Procrastination and not taking MASSIVE ACTION can cost you years of your life''. That is so true that most probably spend 8 hours a day thinking about the blueprint/strategy but never actually spend time taking action. Before you know, years go by and your left with a zero bank account.

Some may believe that once you are exposed scamming, you are always marked as a scammer.

Frank Kern has been sued by the FTC in the past for his internet marketing methods.
        ,
Simplicity is his shtick, don't be fooled though, nothing is easy when it comes to making money online. I think Now (post-ftc lawsuit) he openly, admits that allot of hard work is required.

many things in life are simple, but far from easy.

Just want to clarify on this, he wasn't actually scamming anything, just something he was doing happened to infringe of the FTCs rules and he got nailed.

I can't remember the whole story but it's on the forum somewhere if you want to search for it.

It's interesting because you can still find the old sales page he put up.

He made the mistake of having it reviewed by a family lawyer or something who wasn't qualified to say yae or nae in the matter. But, more or less gave him the go ahead which came back to bite him in the @$$.

60% is being really nice actually. I think it is more around the 90% range to be honest. When I was a speaker at an event I event told them it was around 95% which I firmly believe

I suppose this percentage came as result of a thorough research, and not just a hunch, right?

Anyway, this is my "solution" to procrastination, especially point 1: Pro-active procrastination

I love this clip. I recommend to anyone that has the time, to watch all of it.

Even all 39 minutes of it

Anthony Robbins knows his stuff. Probably one of the greatest 'why' guys that I know.

      The mindset is sooooo important.

A powerful mindset can easily take some of the 'worst' strategies, and find a way to make them work.

Good post. Good video The sure fire way to solve most problems relating to procrastination and lack of motivation plus a host of other debilitating behaviours is to understand what's causing them then remedy the problem. The following book covers all of it: Psycho-Cybernetics by Dr Maxwell Maltz available on Amazon. Awesome!

That sounds logical. The problem is, your subconscious mind is quite powerful, and supremely skilled at confusing any insights the conscious mind throws it's way.

The cause of procrastination is an internal conflict which has nothing to do with a lack of understanding, so applying insights generally has little or no effect. That is part of why people can gather great insights through years of therapy without ever changing.

Understanding and then applying the appropriate remedy is actually about as far from a "sure fire" solution as you can get to solving the internal conflict that leads to procrastination.

What exactly should people take action on?
Putting a blog up, submitting articles, forum posting?
People have wised up to the fact that none of these is going to bring them riches and they are only given half the picture.

You want to see the whole picture?

      1. Find a problem other people have
      2. Solve it
      3. Find a way to get your solution in front of them

That's it. That's the whole picture.

Most people fail for two reasons -

      1. The first 90% fail because they do absolutely NOTHING
      2. 90% of those left fail because they do SOMETHING but it doesn't solve someone else's problems. They create blogs about nothing, squeeze pages that no one sees and try to sell products that don't solve real problems.

If you want to see the whole picture in action all you need to do is get yourself a lawn mower and go door to door asking if they will pay you $10 to mow their lawn.

      1. Find a problem other people have - Their lawn is long and they want it to look nice.
      2. Solve it - You have a lawn mower
      3. Find a way to get your solution in front of them - You are door knocking.

That's it, that's the ball game.

This is so true, I would also like to add that you want to find a way to keep in touch with them after you have given them a solution. You might be able to get a few sales from people visiting your information and wanting your product, but when people trust you they will be more willing to open their wallets to you again and again. That is another big part of the picture.

How to get the solution in front of them can be done in a variety of different ways, forum posting, blogs, articles, videos, etc, but you need an autoresponder to capture all of those buyers over the long term (also, an autoresponder will allow you to add people to your email list even when they are not willing/ready to make a purchase.

I also want to add another reason that people fail - they expect instant riches. Any business owner (IM or not) can tell you that it truly doesn't happen overnight. You need to find the right business model for you, you need to decide to stick with that model and work at it, and most of all you have to realize that it takes time too build a real business.

As a business owner, you are working today to get paid tomorrow and when you have started building your business the work that you did yesterday is going to pay you today and the work that you do today will pay you tomorrow.

So many new IMers don't expect to get paid no matter what - the same way you do at a regular job. But when you are your own boss you need to remember two things:
        - your success depends on YOU
        - building a real business takes work. Bill Gates didn't develop Microsoft in a day and Donald Trump wasn't a household name after his first sale.

Work hard, work smart (following people that are already successful in the business model you want to learn), and never give up.

Now if only that were true.
I think it is partially, but in reality things don't pan out like that always especially these days with the Google updates.
The other side of the coin is people saying one thing and doing another - all the big time marketers buying and selling solo ads, but telling everyone else to write artices, blog and forum post.
For some reason they choose not to give this knowledge away to the average newbie.
But pop into safe/ad swaps and you'll be suprised who you'll find in there from this forum.
Be nice if everyone practiced what they preached.
People just want a degree of honesty.
It's not too much to ask for.

    Hey Preston,

I just watched the entire video, and it is so awesome. This is what I needed. I've been facing a serious challenge for some time. And Tony Robbins really nailed it.

I can't thank you enough for posting that video.

Everyone should watch it and drink it in.

And the thing about it is that his message applies to anything and not just IM.
