It's worth what people want to pay for it, so you really have to list it and sold it in order to find out what it's worth.

Is anyone out there really making money from domains?

Seems to me that you pay $20 or so to list it for sale on flippa and then hope it gets bought. I know I have tried selling a few sites on there, but I wind up spending money and get either no bids and outrageously low ones. I would think that domains would be even worse ...

Well, the cash-windfalls on Flippa are definitely over when it comes to stuff like turnkey websites, PLR stuff or just some domains, at least from my perspective. Too many people flooded that segment of the market.

However, if you have a site that either gets good traffic or generates steady revenue (preferably both), you're golden and can expect some heavy hitters to bid for you.

To make money with a domain flip you must be able to find an enduser that is willing to pay for that domain. Most people that are flipping domains are sending out a ton of emails to potential endusers that need the domain. The problem is not all business owners get it.

To build up value for your domain you should build a website. A WP blog would be ok. Try to setup something in best interest for the domain.
Also try to actually rank it again...

Its like if you have a piece of land, but you have nothing on it. If you where to at least put up a sign on the land, the value would go up only from that. Because people might not even be aware that that land was for sale. Got my point ?

So try build something easy or buy a basic webpage setup from fiverr

Illustrate how to make money from the domain/website somehow.

These things will increase the value of your Domain for Sure!!

      Good luck!!
