Need ideas for an old domain - please :)

Hi everyone - first post on here - I've read the rules so hopefully I don't do or say anything really dumb

I have an old domain -registered in 1998 - that I've never done anything with. I did consider selling it a few years ago but didn't get very far with that. (I don't know much about selling domains)

It's a one-word domain - impurity.com. As I'm almost exclusively in the natural health/green home niches, I'm just not sure what to do with this name. But, it's too good to just let go, I think.

Too bad I'm not in adult lol. Anyway, if anyone has any ideas on what niche it may fit well in or if I should give trying to sell it another go, I would really appreciate it.

I've lurked here quite some time, so it's good to finally get a chance to say hi to everyone

    Before I even read that, the first thing that sprung to mind was natural health remedies "Detox" plans and whatnot. Get rid of those impurity's...

    Thats all I could think of though. 1998 domain. Nearly as old as me!

      Hi Jack I had thought of detox - and of water purification (although, I know a lot more about detox). I'm not sure why I've put off building it for so long, honestly. It's just soooo niched and I've always done better with sites/blogs which have a wider base and I niche content within them.

      Hopefully I'm not too old to try doing this biz a new way

    If you want to use it use it if not sell it. Simple. If you use it... Its a little long of an answer of what to do... So I will just say this... Welcome to the Warrior Forum.

    I would go with a detox site. There are a lot of different kind of detoxes people search for. Goes well with the domain name definition as well.

    Before you decide to sell the domain you should first know that domain age is becoming a more and more important variable in Google's algorithm. The latest updates literally smashed SEO factors that were easy to manipulate: link anchor text, emd etc. The age of the domains has become increasingly valuable, therefore I think you should stick to your 1998 oldie.

    As for what you can do with it, I have no idea. Think of a topic you're interested in and try to relate it to "impurity" in some really creative way. (That's what I would do)

      Good advice. That's one reason I've hung onto it this long. I have a few domains from 'way back' - as far back as 96 I think lol.

    Impurity is a great one for the natural niche too. Target the growing dissatisfaction with GMOs, HFCS and all the terrifying ingredients in our food. Maybe an info product about how to shop smart and avoid all these additives? Although "quit buying processed food" makes for a short e-book.

    I think that this could be built up into a great site especially since it's so old and would be pretty easy to rank. If you get a good offer, however, you should probably sell it.
