What sort of traffic per day/month do I need at very least to make money from it? I'm new into all of this so I just want some rough idea. Thanks

Its not that simple as x amount of traffic to your site = money. Do some reading here and get a better understanding of online marketing. There is much more to it then that. Welcome to the Warrior Forum. The conversion side of things is where most people run into barriers.

I've seen sites with 10 hits per day make more money than sites getting 100-200 hits per day. Depends on niche and what you are selling.

Yeah welcome to the forum. There's plenty of ways to make money from your website. Here are the basics that you need to know:
    1. You need to choose a niche(the topic that your website focuses on such as health and fitness, dating, making money online, etc...)
    2. Decide whether your going to promote a product or a service.
    3. Learn effecient ways to drive traffic to your website
    4. Learn how to build an email list of subscribers/customers
    5. Learn about Pay Per Click programs and how you could benefit for them
    6. Network, Network, Network...(I can't stress this enough, I also think that alot of people forget about how important this point is, but since your on the forum you already have a good start with building relationships).

    Hope this helps.

Your question is too simplistic, there are a lot of factors but after selecting a niche the place to start is in your offer/value proposition. You should make it irresistible and honest as possible. Newbies always seem to forget or underestimate this part and it is the most important factor.

Joe Vitale describes marketing as engaging with the people most likely to buy what you are offering.

A powerful offer/value proposition can overcome a lot of weak points. Not only that, it's the core of your business. Super affiliates, Top MLM players, Product Creators, Service providers etc.... set themselves apart and build trust by the value THEY bring to the table.

Another great saying about marketing ( i forget who) is " marketing makes selling superfluous/unnecessary"

Seek to offer value all the time to build the kind of trust that helps to make selling superfluous. Seek to create/find value that makes doing what you want a no brainer.

1.To get people to click links (not ads) that lead to your site you have to give value first in the form of content.
    2. To get people to opt-in to your list you have to find/create something of value as an incentive. Giving value before asking for opt-in plus a valuable incentive is even better.
    3. Getting them to buy is the same.

Not too discourage you, just to inform you, here are some other factors to consider after your niche, offer and your ability to consistently create/find value.

    How targeted is you traffic?
How well does the sales letter convert ( your product or what you're promoting) on average.?
Pre-selling marketing materials what kinds work best for this niche?
How well do your ads convert?
Who are the desperate buyers in your niche, where are they, what do they dream about, what keeps them up at night?
Who has a relationship with my niche already?
How can partner with them, what do need to have/do?

And that's just a partial list.

What I'm trying to say is, focus on the fundamentals first, get some sort of plan, ask better questions of yourself and then ask questions on this forum that get you real actionable advice.

I'm not saying the advice given isn't actionable it's just that it's the action of thinking about these things that precede success.

Start thinking of making money from a site the moment you decide to have one. The trick here is to understand the market you want to penetrate...The quality of SEO done, on site and off site, marketing schemes will also be detrimental. Plan and create a checklist, don't be afraid to split test and try different techniques.

    Amazin,

This all depends on your business model. If you're using AdSense, you're going to need 1000 hits to make $1. But if you're using email marketing or something like that, you can make up to $300 from 1000 views on your blog.

    It all depends.

Depends on the niche with Adsense, I had a website at some point that made $10 per day from 200 views, had a 20% crazy CTR.

You need ads to make money. Make an account for google adsense and put ads on your website. You need traffic so people can click on your ads. Buy backlinks for your website because that will get you a higher ranking on Gooogle, and that will lead to traffic.
I sell backlinks and I highly recommend you buy my product.

Perfect lead in for a question I've been having. I just created a blog and have 12 articles and 5 pages with a sitemap. I've applied to google adsense and got this reply....

Insufficient content: To be approved for AdSense and show relevant ads on your site, your pages need to have enough text on them for our specialists to review and for our crawler to be able to determine what your pages are about.

To resolve this issue, please work through the following suggestions:

      - Make sure that your pages have sufficient text - websites that contain mostly images, videos or Flash animations will not be approved.
      - Your content should contain complete sentences and paragraphs, not only headlines.
      - Ensure that your website is fully built and launched before you apply for AdSense - do not apply while your site's still in a beta or "under construction" phase or only consists of a website template.
      - Place the ad code on a live page of your website. It does not have to be the main page, but test pages that are empty except for the AdSense ad code will not be approved.
      - Provide a clear navigation system for your visitors so that they can easily find all of the sections and pages of your website.
      - If you'd like to monetize YouTube videos, please apply for the YouTube monetization program (Monetization FAQs - YouTube Help). Note that blogs and websites that contain only videos will not be approved.

As soon as you've made the necessary changes, we'll be happy to take another look at your application.

my blog is Let's Grow Rich... if that helps. Any input would be greatly appreciated since they use a "no reply" email to tell you about it.

I agree that you need to start thinking about it from day one. That doesn't mean you have to start selling, so to speak, from day one, but the site should be designed with an understanding of where the revenue will come from.

If you make a site that isn't designed for revenue, develop a visitor base, and then add-on revenue later that can be a challenge. So you should be thinking about it from the start.

If you are building something that is targeted, you can be earning with very low visitor counts.... it all depends on what you design.

First you will have to rank your website before thinking of conversion. As for monitization I would recommend a CPA offer, you can sign up ones such as maxbounty and peerfly that has a low barrier for new IMers.
