My new Clickbank product report - what do you think?

Hi,

I have recently launched my first Clickbank product.

Now looking at the stats for sales since the 6th of December, I am not sure what to think.

Have a look:

So these are the first 2 days since the launch.

So what do you think, are the figures good/ bad? What is good/ bad?

Can I expect more sales with these figures?

The product itself is in the Forex niche and all of the sales came from affiliates.

Thanks for posting your result, it motivates a lot. The result is just great for me.
One question, how do you get affiliates?

Well I am glad it motivates you.

Thing is I spent a considerable amount in producing the product, website and marketing (which is much more than 800 USD).

I don't think the sales figue is what we should be looking at....

To get affiliates is always the same story... Affiliate networks, other product vendors, forums and so on....

Any ideas from experienced Clickbank vendors?

Looking at your conversion rates indicates that you have a pretty compelling offer.

At this point, you should definitely be giving serious consideration to ramping up your traffic levels.

If I were you, I would try running some ads and driving traffic in personally instead of depending solely on affiliates.

This is exactly what I think about.... what about if a day affiliates stop to promote you? let's drive some traffic! Have you ever tried to promote products here as ads? it could worth efforts!

Actually, his conversion rate is quite low and I would be looking to improve that before you ramp up the traffic. As it stands he is getting one sale every 150 hops which is a conversion rate of less than 1%. I would be looking to at least double that by testing things on your sales page. Start with the most important things such as your headline, your offer, your price.

        This. Exactly.

Well done for getting started off and making some money there, of course. But to attract affiliates, you need to start identifying/addressing the conversion-rate problems, I think?

Just shows you what you can do with statistics doesn't it? I don't expect you to agree with my assessment, but for what it's worth:

He has 6 x affiliates who actually made sales and the arithmetic average of their conversion rates is just over 12% - pretty good actually!

I am sure you are aware that there is traffic and then there is targeted traffic. Perhaps those 6 affiliates were able to do their job better:

        - Send Targeted Traffic
        - Properly Pre-sell the Product

        My 2c.

    Thanks for your replies.

The reason I didn't send traffic is the nature of the product. As it is in Forex niche ppc is extremely expensive.

Otherwise I couldn't find good targeted traffic.

The only solution I can come up with is solo ads and ad swaps. But the problem there is that these people are swarmed with offers/ spam and the end result most likely would be little sales and traffic more expensive than profits made.

I agree with the previous posters that you need to work on conversion rate first. You are getting enough traffic to be able to have valid A/B test results quite quickly. Only test one change at a time.

Once you have the conversion rate up, I would also look at getting some more visitors through natural search:
      • Are there any long-tail keywords relevant to your product?
      • Relevant in-bound links will help your rankings too, with varying anchor text.
      • Even no-follow links are worth having as part of a natural link-building strategy.
      • Avoid ppc--it's hard to make it work unless you are a real expert. And in your niche that applies even more so and would only be worthwhile for an expensive product with high conversion rate.
One last tip--make sure your sales page is canonical. Otherwise your url can drop out of the search results an be replaced by one of the affiliate links. This happened to one of my pages once and resulted in 80% drop in visits until I realised what had happened. See: About rel="canonical" - Webmaster Tools Help

    Hi everyone,

it looks very good. So con to you.

But if you want to make more try to add some upsell products or membership site.

And try to promote it by yourself and not rely only on affiliates.

    Good luck for you.

    And see you on top.

A good sales letter should convert at around 2%. You willl have no problem getting affiliates if you can show good conversion numbers.
