Should I move this site to WordPress?

Hi all,

I bought a website a while back that is hand coded HTML (the coding sucks). I'm just getting familiar with Wordpress and I have experienced much better search engine rankings with sites based on Wordpress. At present this website only draws about 600 visitors a month and half comes from the main search engines.

If this were your website, would you move it to the Wordpress?

Also, as the URL paths will change if I move to wordpress I will lose all the backlinks I have from Wikipedia and other links I really want to keep.

Anyone experienced this and how did you overcome it?

Appreciate your help!

Cheers,

Josh

Yep, without a doubt, move it to WordPress.

WP makes life so much easier! There are plugins for everything that you can think of.

I taught myself HTML, CSS and PHP, so I can build a site from scratch and, to be honest, this is how I built my sites initially. I kind've looked down on WP sites. Then I tried them! I have never looked back. So much easier, and looks so much better.

So, yes, get yourself over to WordPress.

Create each post with the same Title:

      An example is http:// www. king-stephen.com / Stephen-King-Bio.html

Create a post and change the wordpree post slug to "Stephen-King-Bio"

In Permalink under the setting, change the link to "custom":
      "/%post%.html"

      Hope it helps

      .
Ever notice that people who spend money on WSO, memberships and courses, are always complaining about being broke and not making any money ?

They should have bought ASSETS instead.
