Hey guy's TBone here and I would like to give those struggling a little "Pull Up"
to those just starting out online to get off on the right foot.
I know how hard it is when you are just starting out, all the different advise coming on different methods and most of it conflicting , so I thought that I would give you a couple of things to make it a lot easier to get started out right.

1.) Pick a niche that is in a niche! In other words do not try to jump into the IM niche or the weight loss niche. What I mean is you want to be more targeted to a specific niche or group of people within a niche that way it doesn't have that kind of competition like a broad niche. Instead go after like college students trying to make extra money, or dads that lost there job's or localize it.. You want to specifically targeted to who your offer applies and on a topic of something that you love or know a lot about.

2.) Pick 1 traffic source and do not jump around . Master that one traffic source before you move on to another.

3.) Everything that you do "You should be building a list first" then go for the sale. A list is your biggest asset. What I mean is everything that you do you should have the goal to get people onto your email list first and foremost.

4.) You are never going to fail & lose money! You are just learning and you have to fail first in order to learn from your mistakes.

5.) Everything that you do you track! Do not run a PPC campaign or any campaign without tracking in place. Everything need's to be tracked every link that you use.

6.) Start building a blog or site right away on a topic that you love.

7.) Last one. Try not to jump around from different offer's! Stick to similar offers and try not to spread yourself too thin. In other words if your running a campaign on a hosting offer then you start one on win a IPad or something don't do this stick to one get that going then start another one. Everything that you promote try to keep them close to the same audience.

8.)Most of all Do Not Chase Shinny Objects ! In other words do not go out and buy the newest guru product every week that is claiming to make money.

I think that if you start out with these suggestions that you should get off on the right foot.
I am sure that my fellow warriors will touch on what I left out ! So this should turn out to be real helpful for you !

No offense, but if you honestly don't know what a "traffic source" is, you need to do A LOT more reading before asking questions. You're going to wear people extremely thin asking about such basic terminology.

Most people on this forum have spent countless hours upon hours upon months and even years reading about online marketing and soaking up the terminology. You need to invest at least enough time to understand these basic nuts and bolts, and once you've at least done that people will be more than willing to offer advice.

If you want a basic understanding of how internet marketing works and terminology, etc - yet avoid getting scammed and sold on everything under the sun - consider purchasing a couple top books off of Amazon. That ought to give you a foundation to work with while cutting down on a lot of the BS.

OhmStop, what tbone(ma dog from da hood) has meant is -

When you are trying to build a business, you need traffic(customers) to keep your business running(producing more and more money).

Traffic is everywhere in your niche, it's hanging out on forums and it's on other people's lists.

You need to approach that traffic with a hand full of value aother hand with your offer.

So, what ma dog meant is -

Once you learn about one way of traffic generation, you need to focus on that one and master it.

    does this make sense?

Yes, I agree. You cannot be expert on everything and it's even hard to build trust if you pretend to be an expert on everything out there. Market the things you are knowledgeable about. At least that's what I have been doing for a while and I have done well that way. Some may disagree with that, but that's just one way of doing things and the one that can certainly work.
