Hello,my name is anthony and im looking to start a online business as my work ain't going to great. I've done alot of research into ebay and also niche websites but all the research has become a bit overwelming. I just would like to hear some suggestions on which path to take. I know it's up to me to make it happen but would like to hear from the experts.

Thanks Anthony

Probably the best advice you could hear is write down a few things that you are passionate about and then pick your favourite. Do some research and make sure you can monetize that niche and then start blogging about it. Probably the easiest way to make a quid when you are first starting out

      Agree with this 100%

It's definitely recommended to get into something that you are passionate about. Passion is the fuel that will help you to keep pushing on through when you aren't seeing results, or feel like things just won't work out.

      P.S. You've got a new Twitter follower

        Hi Anthony.....

Well... there's so many ways to turn...

What kind of environment suits YOU.... what I mean is... do you get massive enjoyment from face-to-face interactions, dealing with people in the physical world or are you happy on your own at home. It can be lonely sometimes.

When you know this you have a direction/path to start walking...

If offline then theres lots of ideas from buying established businesses or franchises. If online, again decide if you like to handle customer enquiries, or prefer to be the "silent marketer" with customer service to handle...

If silent, then set up a blog and begin writing... daily /regularly./.. Look for products on mazon etc and write about them with fine detail .. and join the amazon affiliate program, and insert your affiliate link in at the end of your content.

Choosing keywords will become a thing of habit, a skill for life.

Plenty to do, which direction is up to you. :-)

        Shaun

I learned from experience that you want to start with something you actually know something about. Research is fine but if you write from real experiance it always reads better.
Pick a niche you really know then make a site, write a eBook on the niche, and then practice good Google manners and be patient, it will pay off.

Hi Anthony, first choose a niche that will always be high in demand such as internet marketing, weight loss, fitness, blog writing, etc to name a few then go from there. It's best to not overwhelm yourself with massive information because it just leads to not taking ACTION. Another best thing is to look at other success stories to get ideas

I think you should create an eBook and sell it on Clickbank. You can also use this WarriorForum to advertise it by making a thread about it with a buy button. You can also try to make a website using Wordpress.org.

    Business models

    1. Affiliate marketing
    2. Offline marketing
    3. Product owner

No need to go further. Choose one. Invest in your education to get more of a clue and take a lot of action even if you do not know everything.

    Basic formula

Get targeted traffic to a website that builds a relationship with them and sell stuff to help your audience solve their problem.

Best advice I was given was don't be afraid to fail. Fear of failure is what has held me back. Pick something that interests you, and just start doing it. Reach out to people doing the same or similar things. Don't try to do it all alone. Make friends, but above all, 'do'.

@Anthony - Pick one thing to begin with. There is a danger in doing too much research on too many different things and end up suffering with 'Information Overload'. Think about what kind of life you live and how you want to live it. For example, dealing with tangible products (not dropshipping) can incur a significant manual workload when sales start to roll in (at some point you may need extra help or to take on staff). Visualise yourself doing that particular thing and how your day is going to look. Does the thought of doing that particular thing fill you with joy? Can you see yourself building and managing a number of niche websites (and so on). Don't just think of the 'money' think about what you will be doing in return for it. Just a little note on Ebay - By building a business around a third party platform or site, you have cashflow but not a business. You have a business once you control the asset in question or a contingency plan which ensures you will never go from HERO to ZERO overnight. Make sense? Good luck!

Learn list building and email marketing. These are essential and should proceed everything else.

Forget about "passion." Go where the money is.
