Don't focus on the money. Focus on thinking of the problem you would like to address and help people solve. Example: Help dog owners train their dogs. Help overweight men get a 6 pack. Help people learn a new language.

Next start a website and dedicate yourself to being a portal for a hungry audience willing to get solutions to their problems. Make sure this audience is willing to pay for indepth solutions

Choose your niche/sub niche. Go get hosting, autoresponder and set up wordpress blog. Post content regularly. Only incredible content, no iffy stuff. Come back when you have done that.

Lol.. " for starters 1-2k should be enough"

Sorry to say this, but most Internet marketers don't make that much for a few years.

Start reading the forum and get ideas for your sites.

You are correct. Many internet marketers don't make that much for a few years. So good thing is stating slowly.

Have you stuck to the same thing in your whole marketing career?

I admit that I have been all over the place. I need to focus on one business model and stick with it.

You need not say "sorry" for stating a simple fact. Saying "sorry" seems to indicate that you are making an attempt to bring the op "back to reality", where he should not expect to make that anytime soon.

But everyone has their own path; some go slow, some go fast, and there is no reason the op can't create that kind of income much faster than "most". In fact, it would be wise to emulate the few who pick a good model, stick with it, and build it into a strong income fast.

The real truth is probably that most never make any regular income, but some do, and that is all the proof needed that the op can too, as long as he can get control of his mindset, pick a strong model, and work it hard until he attains his goal.

The op isn't setting a very lofty goal anyway; it is absolutely doable in his first month, if he's steady and motivated, and asks some of the good people on the forum for help every time he needs it.

Most of us (yes I own a million WSOs; not the model to follow for fast results) start very slowly partly because we get distracted and change course, and partly because we try too hard to figure everything out alone, waiting far too long to ask for help. Those things lead to wasted energy with little payoff, before finally settling into a real solid plan.

But the question is far too broad, and you are right in telling him to read the forum, but I'd add a caveat; there will be a strong temptation to stay too long in reading mode, and reading the forum will not make anyone a dime.

I suggest joining the Warroom, find a few courses about different paths that seem appealing, lucrative, and doable given your skills and resources. If you are good on the phone or in person, and like talking to/helping businesses, you could pick up some great info on how to get more clients for businesses from online.

Since you want results quickly, I suggest learning a specialized area of marketing that could produce fast results. If you want to help businesses, for example, you might pick up some of Dr. Ben's products on Facebook; he'll teach you how to get impressive results for your clients almost immediately.

If you want to stay strictly online, there are excellent courses available on a variety of models; a good place to start would be a general list-building guide. This week there is a webinar hosted by Jason Parker and Devon Brown on that very topic; Jason is one of Lee McIntyre's top affiliates.

There are many paths to choose from, but the important thing is, don't take too long finding one, and then stay on it until it makes you money, or you figure out it isn't for you; but don't give up easily; building skills and momentum when starting out is the hardest part, so don't get discouraged too soon; give it your best shot.

Good luck; $1-2k is really not that much, it is quite doable, especially if you find yourself a good mentor, or at least a course by one of the clever marketers here on the forum.

I'd reinforce the comments above on managing your expectations. I've been online for almost a decade now, full time since '06 and it's not easy to make a FT living from it all. Doable though - here's my two cents worth:

    1. Like RogueOne suggested, list building is crucial, especially if you're in the IM type niche.

    2. Have a clear blueprint and follow it. Don't hop from one opportunity to the next which is hard to do as we're all bombarded with new must have/do software/techniques pretty much every day.

    3. Understand concepts like residual/recurring income and spend time setting these up or it will be a serious struggle.

    4. Look and think outside the box when it comes to picking your industry. Almost every newbie jumps into IM niche which is fiercely competitive. There are tighter niches with better profit potential if you poke about a bit.

    Best of luck

I don't think earnings at that level is attainable in the first few months most especially if you have just started "learning" the business. What are your plans starting out? Sell products/services? Affiliate sites?

Invest in the War Room, research different methods for a month, pick one and act on it. If you can invest even more, find a mentor.

That's the formula I've soaked up in my short time here.

  • The video above's a documentary of how I started. Yes, I've been totally blind since Nov 2003. Our homepage here and my blog here both provide a detailed written account of my company's startup story (if you prefer to read content than watch videos). Well, this is just one way to start an online business (with an offline establishment), and there are many others you can try out, though I suggest focusing on specialized subject areas where you have significant knowledge and expertise in...

That video documentary was produced by the Asia Pacific Development Center on Disability of the United Nations, and they give it away in conferences and seminars about the role of ICT in providing gainful business and employment opportunities to people with disabilities around the world. It was uploaded to Youtube by a good friend, Thomas Ng, founder of Genashtim Innovative Learning and former Asia Pacific CEO (for more than 25 years) of Asea Brown Boveri, the world's largest power engineering firm...

The first think you should do is an inventory of what your interests are.

You already said you want to make money. That's good. It provides motivation. Now you need a clear plan.

The next step is figure out what you are interests are and whether you want to sell services or products based on those interests.

1000-2000 per month, that is ambitious.

I think that is good! But you need to prepare that it takes time, and may not come so easy and quick as you expect.

No matter where you start, I suggest you to focus more on action goals, and less on the money goals. Because that will reduce your stress! Action cures the fear!

    1. Choose a huge niche with a never ending flow of hungry information seeking paying customers.

    2. Create something you can give away for FREE in exchange for a visitors email address.

    3. Set up a lead capture page (that aloows you to collect email addresses).

    4. Start buying some Solo Ads and test your sales funnels to see how profitable they are.

    5. Once you know that you can add subscribers to your sales funnel and make big profits at the back end of your sales funnel you can keep topping up your sales funnel with more Solo Ad traffic.

    6. Create your own products and promote them to your list of subscribers to make greater profits.

    7. Bundle up your products, keep adding more products to your sales funnel and always look yo provide MASSIVE VALUE at all times.

Now this can prove to be well worth the effort if you stick to building a huge targeted list in a big niche and provide value, build up trust and relationships with your subscribers etc etc.

How long it takes is up to you.

Take a look at the FREE list building report I created below to get you started on the right foot.

All the best and don't think too long my friend!

Good advice here. Different people are saying different things.

I do agree that I need to start small and not focus on the money alone & that'll come. Are there any books or products that u guys recommend? There are many guru's & many niches.

I was thinking of affiliate marketing or drop shipping or writing my own ebook and selling that because I don't have a product to sell

    thanks
