Any advice on hiring writers from warrior, how much is the cost per word ? the writer will need to study my product before writing content for me, although the function is very simple. thank you.

I would have a look on Odesk. I have found a lot of really good and cheap writers over there. Get them to give you a test piece before you commit to anything and make sure they understand what quality you want.

There is also a lot of sh!t there so filter through it to find your diamonds...

It depends how much you're looking to spend. If you're looking for quality that will be worth it's weight in gold then there are plenty here who can help and a quick google search will find you a fair few.

If, on the other hand, you're looking for cheap...then be prepared to get what you pay for

Two names spring to mind, neither are the cheapest and for good reason being amongst the best writers on this forum.

Tina Golden: View Profile: Tina Golden

      &

      CDarklock (Caliban): View Profile: CDarklock

Expect to pay at least $50 per 500 words but don't quote me on that.

My fees for the same number of words start at $200 (two hundred dollars) per article.

You can either use this forum's warrior for hire section:

    Warriors For Hire

    Or you can use Elance.com:

    www.elance.com

These are 2 good places to get writers to write articles for you.

Hi, well the best writers with least investment are in iwriter.com. I use them a lot. a 1000 words article can cost you less than 9$, and it´s garanteed, if you don´t like the article you have 72 hours to return it!

    Fiverr any good?
Lol, sorry I had to throw this out there. Going to Fiverr and expecting anything of value is like going to a $10 mechanic and expecting your vehicle to run smoothly afterwards. You're going to get spun content, copy and pasted content, LONG turn around times, unbearable English and horrible content.

I understand you're new to hiring freelancers but this sentence will sum it up quickly:

"You get what you pay for."

I've seen many reputable members say this phrase,

"It's far better to pay $20 for a single article than to receive several articles for $20."

Especially when you're looking for a SEO content writer, you want the best quality content you can get your hands on and you want someone who has a thorough understanding of SEO. Be careful when hiring though, there are many foreigners who have "agents" or "recruiters" who speak perfect English that find jobs for them.

Then you'll receive work from them in some of the most unbearable broken English.

I'm a writer myself but I've been on the hiring side and I learned my lesson the hard way after I spent $1,500.69 on $5 per article writers.

I was constantly in touch with customer support after receiving spun content and Wikipedia copied content on a daily basis and I believe I went through 35 people on one site and even more on another one. I laid out expectations and my instructions clearly before even hiring them and fired every single one of them. I was always hiring and firing, it was just an absolute nightmare.

Brad's a great guy and has great customer support and you're write, on iWriter you have 72 hours to say "nope" but unfortanutely, a lot of people reject articles for the hell of it. Now I believe they take pictures of the articles? I'm not sure, never tried hiring people through there but the low percentage of approval ratings lets me know either A: The quality is beyond terrible for the majority of writers or B: People are being cheap.

I'm the one who suggested they put in the average approval rating and average approval time so I could get a better idea of how people worked on that site.

I believe we have different definitions of high quality. High quality content isn't what I believe or what even you believe is high quality. It's what your readers will consider valuable and quality information which will keep them coming back again and again. The term "high-quality" is subjective BUT, you usually don't see that quality word come up around the word cheap.

If you really want to put yourself through that, please for the mother of god stay away from ODesk. That place is TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE for any kind of content creation.

        Nice 500th post.

I agree 100%. People often times start projects without even factoring in what the customer will be thinking when they read your content. This should be the first step in planning.

Didn't even notice the post count. I get bored and start answering questions or giving my insight on random posts on here and lose track of posts.

Yeah, anyone can post content that reads well and looks good to them, but not many people think of their readers.

It's worth mentioning too that you really pay for the quality. I purchased hundreds of articles on iWriter.com and I quickly found that elite writers were the only way to go. Anything less than that is clearly not a native English speaker and you will either rewrite parts of it or settle for sub-par quality.

If you settle for sub-par quality, your customers will pick up on this and likely leave your site quickly.

If you use an outsourcing site like Odesk.com, you'll likely pay a hefty premium for good quality as well. You can find good writers from Odesk but you'll be paying for someone from the USA, UK, or Canada which can get spendy.

There are lots of sites that offer writing services, you can try Odesk, Elance, Warriors for Hire, Staff.com etc. So many places to outsource but choose the one that provides good service to their clients, if they have a recruitment team to help you pick the best writer then that’s a plus factor.

I'll just wrap up what everyone already said.

Bottom line, YOU CAN find good, better and best writers anywhere and everywhere.
The real question is: How good are you in finding that good writer?

May have asked the wrong question when it comes finding a good writer. It all boils down to your qualifiers or gatekeepers as to whom will pass your standards in content writing.

    Hi

I use www.Content-kingdom.com. So far, they do a really great job. Their articles have depth and seem to be written by people who have knowledge on the topic of the article. Either that or they do thorough research.

Its an old thread but a very helpful one, so I'll take the risk of reviving it with a more specific question.
Where do I find expert sales and marketing writers that can customize the content to my needs?
I need more than just good articles, I need sales oriented newsletters with a specific appeal, an appeal to my Facebook and Linkedin contacts that promotes my services, sales oriented content for my Homepage.
All these things require a lot of data exchange and brain storming between me and the writer as well as a writer which is more than just a good writer, he needs to be an expert marketing writer with proven credit.
Who do I find these people? Is there an online service that specialize in this type of writing?
How much should I expect to pay for such services compared to general article writing?
    Thanks

I have gone to many micro pay services. Fiverr is cheap, but most writers are less than optimal as we say. They want a lot of gigs. Also, they need to study up on grammar. Do we still want to use their content in our body copy? Certainly, it depends on what is necessary. I have the problem that a lot of people take my money... however, they produce zero. Fiverr needs to emphasize consumer service. Workers with low rating should be booted off the system the way UBER gets rid of drivers who mistreat passengers. Instead, A lot of bad apples are still in the barrel and that should be a problem that Fiverr can address in a timely manner.

Don't hire anyone that charges per word. Seriously. Most legit writers won't even go there. You want quality, not necessarily quantity -- whether that's 50 words or 500. So don't pay per word, either. I'll second what everyone says here -- you get what you pay for.
