YouTube Re-Marketing Question

Let's say you have a video and not happy with the results the Title and Keywords are giving you, can you upload the same video multiple times with diff Titles and kws?

Along the same lines let say you want to use the same video but for diff markets meaning you will be using diff Titles and kws.

My concerns are, is this allowed? and won't it look bad to have the same video on your channel listed numerous times with diff Titles?

What is the correct way to do what I am trying to do which is use the same video but with diff Titles and kws to attract diff markets?

No its not a good idea to try to re-purpose the same video. You Tube wants you to upload a unique video per upload. So if you uploaded 50 videos make sure they are all different videos. Also make sure they are all your original content. Ones that you created. Following their rules will ensure you will keep your content in good standings with them.

    What he said ^^^

Some people try and fool Youtube's automated checking by changing the length of the video and the tags/title etc. but ultimately you're creating duplicate content which is not something that serves them - so while you may be able to get away with it for a while, ultimately you want a better strategy.

If you're creating the videos then perhaps try having some alternative backgrounds, a template for quick changes to focus on those different keywords/niches etc. so that even though it's only a 5 minute job to modify and reupoad it, the changes are genuinely making the video more targeted and different.

I have had success with uploading the same video multiple times but like stated above, Google does want you to have unique content. The trick to posting up the same video and having it make you money is getting YouTube to like it. YouTube really loves videos that have high retention rate, I explain it in more detail in my Free YouTube Report I just released, you can check it out in my signature.

Thank you for the replies I guess I should have thought about the original content concept but I didn't.

Anyway would it be okay if I changed the Title and kws of the same video from time to time? That way there would only be 1 video but lets say every couple of weeks I would rename it.

      Yes that's fine, but why?

The more you change the more complicated it gets. If you really want to target a different keyword then you can change your title and description. Then YouTube will recognize it first and later Google. They might move your video around the serps after recognizing these changes and indexing the new title.

Once you have what you want in the title and description then rank it for those keywords. Leave it there and move on to creating another video if you want to target different keywords.

That way you can still have your original video keep it's rankings and it won't be bouncing all over the place if you were to change its optimization (in title and description).

      Just keep it simple

      I hope this helps.

FWIW, I have never been able to upload the same video twice. I have always gotten a message saying that duplicates are not permitted. As a result, if I want to reuse a video, I will make minor changes in the intro and-or outro. That always seems to do the trick.

Yup, normally that's the message you get when trying to add the same vid without any changes.

We have countless channels that have many multiple videos on them... the EXACT same video with only a 1 second difference in length for each video... haven't had a problem in the past 18 months. I'm not saying I would duplicate that if I needed the videos to stay up long-term for certain, eventually they will catch up to that method, but for now, they generally have not.

Yes, it is better to have unique videos, etc. but simply making a small change in duplicate videos does work, if it serves your purposes.
