Hey guys, thanks for dropping by..

Well, in the last 30 minutes I have recieved 6 notifications informing me that I got 6 new memebers registered to my wordpress blog..

Although it would be fun to scream "yay I got 6 memebers registered"
I think we should stay realistic and say that this just makes no sense lol..

I mean, up until now I had only spam comments..

sometimes 10 sometimes 50 sometimes up to 1000 spam comments a day!

but never got a spammer to register to my site..what the ef?

god damn those spammers, they are getting clever!

I've seen this before too. They'll do anything to get their comments approved. Always keeping us bloggers on our toes!

Time to change a registration process then.
I do moderate all the comments and postings my member made, so it kinda suck to have to waste time cleaning up the database.

Ever notice that people who spend money on WSO, memberships and courses, are always complaining about being broke and not making any money ?

They should have bought ASSETS instead.

Why don't you just take off the blog commenting option?

If this is annoying to you, then take it off.

I never had this on my website and never had this problem before. I don't ever plan to have people comment on my website. I think that it is a waste of time.

One of my mentors had this feature on his blog and they just recently took it off because of too much spam.

This is my blog man, comments are appreciated and they create the engagement me and my customers need.

the comments aren't the problem, I handled them.

the problem is with this new kind of spam, the kind of spam when they actually register to your blog lol

This is definitely not new, software has been automatically registering accounts for years.

Do you have Akismet enabled? That usually works for me.

I get lots of people who are fakes. The email address usually gives it away as they use porno email addresses
