Gratz! I've been thinking about the effectiveness of adsense on a blog as well..wondering if it can be effective to generate some pennies.

I'm not worried either way. My main focus is a affiliate review site at the moment. This was a blog I set up last year and have semi-abandoned. It's mostly related to financial news so it's easy to post a link or report once in a while.

Now to get my proper site earning some money.

Congrats! I'm happy to hear of your first steps to success in 2009. How do you feel about posting affiliate links on that financial blog instead of AdSense? You know you can make more money that way. Find out which ads get you the most clicks, then go to their landing pages and find out if the site has an affiliate program. If so, then sign up. If not, then find an affiliate network that has one and sign up with them. Bada bing bada boom! You'll be making much more money in no time.

Edit: Do your due diligence to find out if the landing page is a converting landing page too. Can't leave out that part.

Well I'm working on my other affiliate review site most of the time. If I can find time I might throw up affiliate links. Though traffic is very low at the moment 2 per day... if that.
