Looking For Case Study Blogs

Hello WF! I recently started my own case study inspired by Mattew Woodward (no affiliation). I've read a few and am following two really good ones (Matthew's and Edward Williams' Monify.Me), but they're like crack to me and now I'm addicted. (That's how I'm supposed to use emotional metaphors, right?)

Now I'm looking for yours, so post them in this thread so I can read them.

IMO the time you spend on your "case study" will be better spent actually building your business.

IM is massively time consuming. Why waste it?

Because it's a place to record my stats & grown and learn from everything I've done. It's a way to record details I may not realize I need later. Plus, I do it in my free time. Not every single second needs to be spent growing and optimizing.

If you could build something for fun and not make money from it, and build the exact same thing and have just as much (much more actually when you are making money) fun, why would you do the former and not the later?

You hear people all the time spouting "do something you are passionate about."

I say "why not love what you do to the point that your work becomes your fun?"

I have a personal blog. It has ads on it and an op-tin form, all of which took me 5 minutes to install. I make money off it without even trying, while doing what I love.

For someone who claims to be in dire straights I would think that your every waking second would be devoted to obtaining some financial stability and taking control of your own destiny. Mine would be.

Just my opinions and I certainly am not trying to pick a fight.

We're not in dire straits and I don't mean to imply that we are. We're just ******* bored being unable to do anything but internet -- the one luxury we don't have the choice to afford (it's part of our rent package, which is fine with me).

People also have different ideas of what is and is not fun. I spend tons of time on my business -- the case study doesn't take more than a half hour of my day maximum... and even if it did, why would I have to defend myself about it to you? Isn't it my decision how much time I spend working (plenty!) and how much time I spend pursuing non-financial leisure hobbies?

You'll find that it does need to be spent on generating traffic and converting the traffic. Inside of converting traffic is tracking your results but to give a full armed case study is going to be a time consuming diary. You could be driving more traffic and a stronger relationship with your list. You can definitely use your progress to tap into the internet marketing niche later. I would only use your case study when you are seeing some real results.

He may not feel obliged to post it himself, but fellow WF member Jason E Johns is running a 90 challenge you will probably find it most helpful, The rule on links has slipped my mind so I'm not sure if I can link it, so just do a Google search for his name.com.

It seems weird that so many people are critical of how the OP spends his spare time.

Don't you guys ever go out for a drink or see a movie?

    Fun is fun.

I love case studies too. I find them invaluable, so long as the source is credible.

I'll be posting up regular case studies on Bring the Donuts (in my signature)

Well, obviously I'm not going to be a great, credible case study because I'm a beginner and I'm just starting. I'm interested in "experts" case studies to an extent, because I can follow exactly what they're doing and they have a proven track record. I'm wary, because this could turn into a shiny-object syndrome, and of course "experts" have something to sell.

I'm interested in case-studies that newbies conduct because I'm also a newbie. It's an excellent want to get your feet wet and begin networking with other like-minded entrepreneurs in a similar situation as yourself. I think having that relationship dynamic can make all the difference in the world, and in a few years when only one or two of us are left, we'll be a damn tight-knit one or two of us.

Thank you! I'm allergic to donuts, but I'm happy to read and browse your blog. ^o^
