Paypal Question: How do I allow people to pay without having a Paypal Account

It seems like it's a hidden option or something.

Everytime I create a "pay now" button, the page it redirects to FORCES people to create a Paypal account to be able to pay.

Do any of you guys know how to solve this please?

Thank you

That's how it works. If someone has no PayPal account but a credit or a debit card, your customer will be advised to sign-up for a PayPal account.

I want customers who HAVE a credit/debit card to be able to pay without having to sign up for Paypal.

Look at this example: (click on the paypal buton) Marketing Fool Insiders | Engaged

I know that, Pai Tai. Every single PayPal button works like that. Even if you try our shopping cart on our website's Order Now page. If the user does not have a PayPal account, she'll have to click "Don't have a PayPal account?" and pay with her debit or credit card.

Better yet, please post your own link that shows the error so I can check what seems to be wrong.

        Thanks for your help.

I actually have no "error" message. I realize hon unclear my questions were.

        - Here is the situation I want to have: On the paypal checkout, the customer has the choice to either "pay with Paypal", or with credit card, by clicking "Don't have a Paypal account?"

        - Here is the situation I DO have: On the paypal checkout, the customer has the choice to either "pay with Paypal", or to create an account with Paypal to be able to pay... and that's what I don't want.

I hope it's clearer now, Thank you

          Hi everyone

sorry to tell you this but you won't erase the words: "pay with Paypal", or to create an account with Paypal to be able to pay

You may don't want this but it is how paypal works.

          All the best

          Erwin.

When I tried it, it worked exactly as you would like it to work.
Where are you located? Differently countries may behave differently.

In other words, you want people to have an easy way to pay, without you serving as another unpaid Paypal recruiter by getting them to sign up for Paypal. What a racket Paypal has, an army of marketers who are quietly pushing that payment option on everybody!

Your options are basically to get a merchant account, use another processor that may take credit cards like Payza or Moneybookers, or to use an affiliate vendor system like Clickbank, who offer a card option without a Paypal tie-in.

On my store and on my invoices my customers do have an option to pay as a guest and pay by credit card or debit card and dont have to sign up for a paypal account. they allow m each customer to do it about a dozen times before they cut them off and force them to sign up for an account

Well, there is bitcoins. (But those are mosre for hipsters :p ). There are also payment processors, but the tend to be expensive. I honestly think Paypal or Moneybookers would be best.

It's a small price to pay in my opinion. you can always upgrade to a full payment processor when profits allow.

PayPal DOES ALLOW so called guest payment where only credit/debit card is involved. I have it on my online store, and I have tested the process with a card not tied to any PayPal account: it works.
The thing is, you have to have a PREMIER or BUSINESS account, and then you must go to
Merchant services->Resources->Features->Customer Checkout Experience->Auto return->Set it up On this page find PayPal Account Optional and set it ON. Now PayPal, when the transaction is complete, offers the customer to sign up with PayPal, but it's completely voluntary and optional to do so.

You should try another button from another website like JVZoo.com.

Doesn't JVZoo make you use paypal as well? I would love to get around using PayPal. I'm not their biggest fan, to put it nicely. But it does seem like there are very few options available besides them - without paying some heavy fees.

Depending on what country you are in, that is not always the case.

There are different limitations to paypal between countries. There are many Middle Eastern countries that cannot even use paypal.

This is true, but then they simply cannot use it (as merchants). Those who can accept money on PayPal, can also accept credit cards via PayPal.

When someone with no paypal account wants to buy our product I tell them to go to paypal and make a deposit into my paypal account using my email address. It always works that way. They never have a problem, and I get my money, they get their stuff. Did I miss something? Why cant everyone do that?

Its very simple to understand. If you put a Paypal checkout button, it is bound to go through Paypal. If you wanna skip Paypal and want customers to pay directly via credit/debit card, you will have to get a Premier account.

kaytav I have a regular paypal account, not a premier account. People just go to their site and make a deposit to my email address. Works every time.

As the others have said, it's not really a big deal because they are still allowed to pay without an account. But for this reason I use ClickBank.
